2024-2025 East Virginia (EVMS)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have a silly goose question but are panel interviews just multiple interviewers and 1 interviewee?

Would somebody be able to help clarify what their interview process is for me 🙂 Much appreciated!!
I had three people interview me! It was two students and a faculty member🙂

does anyone know if theyve stopped sending secondaries?

the deadline to submit secondaries isn’t until the end of december so i would assume if you submitted your primary before the deadline on AMCAS you’d still be able to receive a secondary

Mine was about 30 minutes which I believe is typical. Honestly, it only took about 15 minutes to answer their questions and then I spent 10-15 minutes more chatting and asking my questions.
I second this! The majority of the time was just me yapping and asking them qs

OOS A today as well. They called me and told me I was supposed to be apart of the first wave but that there was a glitch in their system, whatever that means? (no longer tweaking)

OOS A!!!! I’m so grateful. I was waitlisted two weeks ago during the first wave. I didn’t expect movement so soon! Interviewed the third week of September 🙂))
I also got an A two weeks after being waitlisted. I was a bit shocked tbh. Never heard of schools taking people off the WL before giving out all their A’s.

Hi everyone! OOS II on 10/29 and was interviewed 11/15. Does it seem like they give decisions about 4 weeks-ish after? Really want to go to this school!

Interviewed around 09/23, got my WL 11/08. But I think that was the first round of decisions, so maybe pacing has changed after that.

I interviews early October, and waitlisted top tier, should I be worried I haven’t heard heard back yet from the acceptance wave last Friday?

Does anyone know when EVMS stops sending out a majority of II’s? I’m an IS student with ties to the area. Surprised I havnt heard back and kind of annoyed that my own state school isn’t giving any love meanwhile other OOS public MD schools are. Like what

From what I've heard, the tiers don't really mean anything about how likely you are to get off the WL. It just tells you where you stand in terms of stats.

I logged in to the zoom information session today but nobody showed up 🙁 should I e-mail admissions about this or just try another time...I felt bad because I couldnt do it the week of my actual interview!

For those that got an A, could you share your interview experience and what stood out to you during the interview? Thanks ahead!

It felt pretty standard for me compared to other schools. Was definitely pretty relaxed overall. Standard questions, followed by casual conversation. Wouldnt say anything really stood out me other than them being very friendly.

did you have to volunteer to complete a simulation with a standardized patient? I saw that in some of the SDN interview responses, but wasn't sure if that was old information
