I did not have to do this for mine!

ditto here- neither did I! Very conversational and laid back...5 standard questions and then some casual chit chat about things they saw in my app they thought were cool

yay i love that so much

[primetimesofine]

did you have to volunteer to complete a simulation with a standardized patient? I saw that in some of the SDN interview responses, but wasn't sure if that was old information

not for the interview. It was part of the little information session, but only one person out of the whole group did it and then the rest of us kinda offered ideas and opinions on how to help them.

IS secondary complete mid-August and havent heard a thing since 🙁

[Jenmjfan]

Quick question! I just wanted to confirm that it is okay to attend an info session after your interview day (i.e. you do not need to actually attend the one on the day of your interview?) Thank you!

Yes, at least according to the email they sent. I worked every Wednesday in the month before and after my interview, so I had to hop into a later info session. Hopefully the two of us will be fine!

[finmeca93]

Anyone know what e-mail we can send LOIs to? I haven't been able to attend the info session due to work 🙁

Folks who interviewed in december, do you remember them saying when they would get back to us?

[momobrobro]

Folks who interviewed in december, do you remember them saying when they would get back to us?

the wait is around 5-6 weeks i believe, but i would honestly not hold on to that number with too much hope bc of the holidays. best of luck!

Hey guys, I know it is super late, but I was trying to submit my secondary but the portal has been down for days. I've emailed admissions but I know they are closed for the holidays so I have no idea what to do :/

Keep trying- I'm not sure what their holiday dates are but call the day after Christmas until they answer. Also, you could always find the email of someone on the admissions team & email them directly- you're probs more likely to get a response from them than the general admissions email.

[pink5diva]

is an II here still possible?

[Strattera]

is an II here still possible?

I think so. Look at cycle track for last year! There was a wave of IIs about equal to the one prior to thanksgiving and that second wave happened in January.

[bannervein]

is an II here still possible?

Knew someone who went here and they didn’t interview until February and eventually matriculated. From my understanding EVMS likes to take their time 🥲

[luca98]

Did anyone receive a phone call? I got one about 30 minutes ago without a VM and no email… I haven’t interviewed here, I wonder what it could be about? I’m at work so I cannot call back at the moment but I looked up the number and it pulls up the admissions office.

[bannervein]

So many OOS II, when will they show us some more IS love 🥲

[Strattera]

EVMS does not care about IS students

So many OOS II, when will they show us some more IS love 🥲

bruh I feel that…I got interviews from two out of three schools in Pennsylvania but ZERO from my beloved VA! Show me some love EVMS!

[Strattera]

+1, honestly VA school do not give af about their residents. It’s completely inequitable and hypocritical to their own missions. There is no reason why I should be getting interview invitations for public out of state institutions with way higher average MCAT/GPA averages and where I have much less of a mission fit then my own state schools.

here you dropped this 👑

You think Virginia is bad, look at us here in California 😭

Looking at the previous year threads, they call to offer an interview sometimes

This is a uneducated and salty take. The schools interview + accept the number of in- state students they are allowed to offer spots to as determined by the state, not the school. This has to do with state funding for in-state tuition. EVMS cares a lot about their students, the state, and their city. Just because you didn't get an interview here yet doesn't mean that they have been interviewing other qualified residents who just don't post all over SDN to either complain or brag 🙂

[wackertwiddle54129]

Haven't heard anything from them; does anybody know if they still have interview spots open/if they're considering applicants?

[finmeca93]

Anyone else still not heard from mid Nov interviews?

[immashark]

Anyone else here going to the info session this Wednesday?

[Strattera]

No, I’m going to make them come to ME
