I wonder what it means if you don't get held. Ive heard most schools hold for the purpose of reviewing these applicants weekly.

I'm wondering the same, idk if I should be worried or happy

Nah, they've definitely sent out IIs. R's will probably come out with the first wave of A's.

+1 OOS II on portal, complete late July, was never on hold, portal must have updated sometime between when I last checked on Friday and just now 🙂

Uhh not trying to be a Debbie Downer here but I just looked through the entire forum from last year's cycle and it looks like almost none of the holds became an II.... Not sure where people on here got info on holds becoming lots of IIs but would love to know how they found this out!

Uhh not trying to be a Debbie Downer here but I just looked through the entire forum from last year's cycle and it looks like almost none of the holds became an II.... Not sure where people on here got info on holds becoming lots of IIs but would love to know how they found this out!

LOL im just saying.. I'm sure we have a life outside of SDN but I personally think SDN is still a good resource as many if not most people on here probably think. (If not why be posting on this haha) To me the numbers of most holds on SDN that became Rs is a little more significant than a couple of people saying oh I know people. Just trying to gauge where I am cuz im just as neurotic as many people out there waiting for IIs! 😀

All we can do is take what the school says at face value. If GW says they periodically re-review apps put on hold throughout the cycle, then why shouldn't we believe them? 🙂

Agreed! And this is exactly what I read straight off their website! I will go by that and for your sanity the rest of you should too!

Oh darn I was put on hold 4 years ago as were many of my classmates. Let me tell admin real quick that we were all supposed to be rejected.

I get the neuroticism, I was one of you guys too. But unlike other schools that put me on hold and then I’d never hear from them again, I felt that I was given a valid re-review later in the cycle. However, GW gets 12k+ applicants a year, so yeah, a lot of holds do become rejections, but it doesn’t mean that everyone put on hold is rejected.

Half hour interview. The interview slots just range from 10am-4pm est

They sent the Zoom link and time slot email the day before my interview, which was about a month after my initial invite email.
