I just got accepted off the waitlist!!!!! Happiest day of my life. Here's the info anyone (now or in the future) might want to know (paying it forward because this thread helped me so much!):
Submitted secondary: 9/02
II: 9/27
Interview: 10/29
Decision (WL): 3/14
Accepted!!: 05/02. Got the call at 3:30 Eastern.

Manifesting this for everyone else waiting! I had 5 WLs and would not wish the last few months on anyone.

CONGRATS!!!!!!! Weird q but do you know what time you got your WL notif on 03/14?

Just got a call for more merit money that freed up after PTE deadline
Wait just to clarify does this mean you already had like a partial merit offer and they called to give you more or what was the situation?

What was the area code from?

I had not received any merit aid, I was offered 75% tuition

Congrats! Did you submit a LOI? Did your portal update?
I submitted a letter of interest (multiple throughout the cycle with updates embedded) but not a letter of intent. My portal updated after they called me.

Congrats! When was the most recent letter of interest you sent to WashU?

Someone who’s accepted and still in the Facebook / GroupMe chats, what’s the current number? Have any people left or joined in the past week?

Like 170-ish. A lot of movement, obviously, around May 1st and much less since then

Hard to judge how many people also just don't bother with GroupMe one way or the other

Yeah I think a lot of people forgot about it. The numbers are not reliable indicators because of this

I received a merit scholarship in early May. Probably funds freed up by a student PTEing elsewhere.

+1 Waitlist Status email… I’m assuming this means nothing?

What did it say?
To verify my waitlist status ( basically do I want to stay on the waitlist), and if WashU is my first choice to write a letter of interest or intent.

Thanks! Just got it as well.

just as an FYI - a chunk of students were recently added to the groupme. unclear if these are all newly admitted/waitlisted or perhaps leftovers that were not added to the groupme before april 30th. i would assume waitlisted though

yeah looks like ~13 ppl just got added, likely from the waitlist

Any reported As since they sent out the waitlist status email?

I got a call yesterday about a merit scholarship, so it looks like some things are still shuffling around

I was accepted off the waitlist. My understanding is that everyone who is accepted is considered for merit and need based aid.
Congratulations on your acceptance! If you don’t mind me asking, when did you get off the waitlist? Thank you.

Looks like WL movement is pretty much over. Wanted to reach out to the school for app feedback though I'm still technically on the WL. Thoughts?

What makes you think it is over? I would think there could be another small wave sometime over the next couple of weeks.

Based on last year's WL movement, and the report someone here posted that the adcoms said they would probably not need the WL much this year

For those that have been accepted, how are you dealing with the atrocious $25k a year for living expenses? I don't think it's realistic at all and really need advice on what others are doing to live comfortably

Not accepted but, as long as you aren’t trying to live above your means ($1500+ luxury apartments), STL is a VERY affordable city. I lived very comfortably on $34k when I lived there. They’re giving you “living” expenses, not “living your best life” expenses. Mealprep at home, take the Metro when you can, classic budgeting stuff
