This school is phenomenal! The personalized acceptance letter with a handwritten note from the dean, unique acceptance video, call from a medical student and a thoughtful sweet email from one of my long interviewers were all so touching. I’m so happy that I have the chance to attend this amazing school.

Looks like they still have some 60-70 or so invited to send out so there is def still time and chances left 🙂)

Applications are up 15% this year, compared with those applying for the 2023 entering class. (MSAR will update with 2024 entering class data sometime in the next week or so.) The competition is fierce. Sending good vibes to everyone including my own "pony" in this race.

v much agreed, crazy amount of effort it seems that goes into building a family rather than a class. very cool.

I wonder if anyone has ever pulled data on their acceptance --> attending rate. must be super high. and attrition rate prob low

Based on their 5 year snapshot they admitted on average 352 students for a class size of 170(ish), so just under 50% matriculating. Not sure how that stacks up to other programs but seems like good value.

Michigan. For the 2023 cycle (applying summer 2022), they had about 8,900 applicants; it's 10,200 this year (2025). We'll find out in a week or so whether 2024 was already trending upward, or if this year is as big a bump as it seems.

THIS! I can't get over how much care they put in, compared to the generic acceptance emails I received from the different schools I got into, you can truly tell the difference. All of those PLUS multiple other mails/emails. Very creative and SO much effort was invested. I feel so lucky.

that's what I'm worried about... I really hope they are not just waiting to reject all IS at one time because I have some hope as I haven't been rejected yet but I'm IS 🙁
