hey! just wondering when your app got verified?
Interestingly, NYIT sent me their secondary/supplemental as soon as I submitted my primary app on 5/20. My AACOMAS app was only verified on 5/28. Shortly after my AACOMAS verification, NYIT sent me an email marking my file as complete and under review.

It was werid and the other schools I received secondaries from have waited for my app to be verified first.

I submitted my secondary nearly 3.5 weeks after receiving the invite because I didn’t realize the welcome email they sent me right when I submitted my primary included the secondary 🙁

They automatically send secondaries to all applicants?

huh interesting. I submitted my primary and it got verified like 3 weeks ago and i still didnt receive anything from nyitcom

Same thing happened with me, I submitted primary on 5/30 and got an email from NYIT 5/31.

For the people getting Arkansas II’s, this is the correct thread, the other is for NYC

I still have not gotten a secondary? Do they screen at this school?

I applied 5/8 and they sent me an email for "next steps" on 5/9 before I was even verified. The link to the secondary was hidden deep in this email and I missed it for 3 weeks and submitted it later than I wanted to. I recommend checking to see if you got this same email; it should be the same for NYC and Arkansas

Oh I did not even realize! This is good information.

Is the Pre-Interview the actual interview? Based on the interview feedback on this site, it appears the actual interview is one on one and for about 30mins (which is what the pre-interview is like as well). I’ve been searching this and haven’t found something helpful.

If I remember correctly, there is a welcome session available before the interview, which is what I’m assuming you mean by pre-interview. This is just a session where you get info about the school and get to ask questions, it really won’t count for or against you unless you do something crazy. Then you have a one on one interview with a faculty member and that’s the real interview

Hi Everyone! I am an OOS applicant (GPA: 3.83, MCAT: 507) and I interviewed on July 25th. I was wondering if I would hear back from adcom at all this month? From previous cycles I am seeing that the first acceptances are emailed out in October. Just hoping I don't have to wait that long to hear anything.

Interviewed first day (7/15) and also heard nothing, I believe we do have to wait until at least October based on previous threads.

Received OOS II today. Secondary completed on 07/29/24. Super excited for this one!

I got two emails. One saying I’m complete and the other saying i’m complete and in review. Did anyone else get both of these?

I got my complete email but never an under review email

Hmm. The first one says: Your supplemental application is now complete.

The second one says: We are pleased to let you know that your application is now complete and under review (in italics) by the Admissions Committee.

Weird because I just submitted yesterday.

I just checked I got the under review actually. It just had a different subject name when I searched for NYIT

I just finished my first interview 8/30! I was super nervous but my interviewer was very nice. It was more conversational and we mostly talked about why medicine and why nyitcom. Fingers crossed on an upcoming acceptance

After paying with Paypal for the secondary, I did not get the 2nd email from this school that they received the payment. I paid a couple nights ago, how long did it take to get through for you guys?

I got the email from PayPal the same day I paid for my secondary and an email from the school the next day. But that email was to notify me that my application was complete. It could just take a bit for them to look over your application and send an email letting you know your application is complete. And since it’s Labor Day weekend, it could just be taking a bit longer because of that

Did they give you an idea of how long it would be before you hear back from them after the interview?

I was told that it usually takes up to 6 weeks but would be notified if the decision before December. I guess it depends on multiple factors on how quickly they will respond

Interviewed this afternoon. It was probably one of the more fun interviews I’ve had to be honest. They state it was only supposed to be 20-25 minutes but we ended up talking for almost 40. Great mix of conversation and questions.
