Question about secondary application question: “9. Have you applied exclusively to Osteopathic Medical Schools?”

I’ve applied to both MD and DO programs but I was wondering if this puts me at a significant disadvantage by having answered “No” to this question

N=[emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]] but I said “No” as well and was accepted. They didn’t even address it in my interview.

Have there been any recent acceptances? Past theads have shown acceptances during first week of December and haven't seen any yet... I interviewed 11/21 and I'm dying to know!!
Hey, I’m in the same boat as you. Interviewed 11/21. Let me know if you heard back yet or not? the anxiety is too much!!!!

Anyone know how to send update letters? It says on the website that NYITCOM doesn't accept update letters after the secondary application, but on my "Your file is now complete" email it says "NYITCOM accepts and encourages updates to be sent directly through AACOMAS." Do they mean just updating my experiences or is there a way to actually upload a letter to NYIT? Would it be bad if I just emailed them the letter? Anyone have any experience with this?

Nvm they just told me to email them the letter lol

Hi everyone! I received an interview invite but when I went to sign up for an interview ti said all the slots were filled. Does anyone have any experience with this?

i interviewed 11/19 and i still havent heard back. i figured they should've sent something out by now

you guys think if we haven’t heard back by now it’s automatic WL because i know last year if anyone got a interview in jan or afterwards was straight WL but it’s been a while anyone has heard any A’s

I don't think so; many schools, especially DO programs, sent out acceptances through January. I can't imagine NYITCOM being the exception. Even if you were WL, I wouldn't be sad about it. DO schools are notorious for having a ton of waitlist movement towards mid-spring, as people commit to their first choice, such as an MD program, and withdraw other acceptances. That said, I thought I read somewhere NYITCOM have admission committees that meet monthly or so...given there were interviews leading into mid-Dec, then the holiday break, I wouldn't surprised if the next meeting hasn't happened yet.

I just called them and the admissions officer couldn't disclose anything. I'm pretty sure it's unlikely they have given out all their As when historically they have given out As in January. Also remember, they did two waves of acceptances in November, which is probably why they didn't do one in December. The waiting game continues!!!

anyone receive any iis? complete September. do you think its worth to send a LOI?

this isn't true lol I got in last spring without being waitlisted

everyone spreads so much misinformation/ lies on this site because they assume that all the relevant data points are being posted when in reality there are thousands of applicants with outcomes that aren't ever posted

Do you mean you interviewed in the Spring and got Accepted without being placed on the WL or did you interview prior to Jan and get accepted in Spring? Bc NYIT doesn't do WL they just ghost until they think its time to get back to you

Does that mean if we haven’t heard back from them in awhile it’s a silent R? It’s my top choice and I’m super anxious to hear back from them. I interviewed 12/17 but I’m hearing a lot people receive A within 2 weeks. I’m going to write a letter of intent though.

You’re fine. 6-8 weeks isn’t uncommon for most schools, plus you interviewed just before the holiday break which could have lasted as far as this week. Just give it time
