I would not worry about this! I got into another program, placed a deposit, and completed the background check. I still get emails for their other programs.

It’s either that or someone else on this thread said that the admissions routinely looks through the WL apps and send As in that way but also this whole admissions process just feels like eenie meenie miney moe so

No it means we as applicants have no clue. schools keep their selection criteria extremely to themselves as proprietary info.

For example, I heard some schools look for similar applicants to those who withdraw, either in stats or ec. Others might choose based on likihood to stay in the area.

I called them to let them know I didn’t get the confirmation and she said that there has been a lot of people that are worried because it has not been 48 hours yet so just in case if I get withdrawn from waitlist then I would have to call to see the problem but she said that since it is the weekend they have not sent the confirmation and right now to not worry about it

I got my confirmation, I think it's a little unfair for them to have said we can hear from them any day now when it's unlikely there will be any updates from them until May when the WL generally starts to move :/
