Has anyone who interviewed seen a change in their portal? During the interview it was said a date would appear in our portal for a decision, and my has been the same awhile now.

No change in my portal yet. Interviewed early September

I got a packet in the mail with my decision date (they also gave my group our decision date in our info session).

was told on 10/9 that our decision date was 10/25 !
I remember them saying that anyone who interviewed before Oct 16 would hear back on Oct 16 via the portal. People who interview after will hear back within 2 weeks.

So far no interview at all from any college. Anyone on the same boat. Freaking out.

I have only 1 right now, so I can kind of relate. But check out this video: . Even Einstein didn't get into college initially, and wasn't a perfect student.

Is there a deadline to accept/decline admission? I don't see an option like other schools to hold our spot right?

I believe you have 2 weeks to accept/decline admissions for every school. I would suggest accepting every acceptance you get unless you are absolutely positive you do not want to attend so that you have options when you need to narrow it down to three schools in April.

I think OSU is a bit different if anyone else wanted to chime in- I only see an option to accept or decline as the final decision, $25 non refundable fee and this is for after that April date

For 2021 the OOS post II acceptance rate was roughly 61-71%, is this still accurate? And does this percentage go down if your LM is lower than the average? Anyone have any intel on this?

Admit.org is a great website that shows post-II acceptance rates and uses data that schools submitted to USNews.

The reported number on admit.org is 62% for OOS. It will definitely vary with the strength of your application, including LM score. That 62% also includes deferrals and waitlists that ultimately result in an acceptance.

But I wouldn’t let percentages scare you! Ohio State invited you to interview because they saw something (or many things) that they really liked in your application. Focus on being yourself and showcase what you’re passionate about in your interview. Talk about how you meet the school’s mission. I think you will do quite well!!!

Has anyone heard if IS applicants tend to hear back later for interviews? I heard that from several people but i’m not sure if anyone’s heard anything else.

No clue but I think there were around 3 instate including me out of 13 or 14 who interviewed on the first day. Got deferred tho if that makes any difference🤣

I suspect there will still be a lot of time for interviews, both IS and OOS. OSU has not accepted a large number of people yet. They’re still leaving a lot of seats open.

The information on the class profile is up to date. The overall post-interview acceptance rate for my class is ~58%. There's a slightly higher rate for in-state applicants, but it's negligible.

Got deferred this morning 🙁 does anyone know about deferrals at OSU? Is this a soft R? I haven’t heard of anyone that got an R which is why I’m asking. Congratulations to everyone who got the A today!!

I think that means you're still in consideration for MD. Sounds like its a rejection and recommendation for a pathway program at OSU
That would be great even though I haven’t heard anything from them yet since applying.
