From what I remember, 10-1ish6 days until we start hearing news. From previous years' threads it looks like they do phone calls - any idea what time they start / end at?

I was at second look day on Tuesday and the used the phrase "later in November" for first batch. In the family session which was separate, my family member said they seemed reluctant to give an exact date because it is dependent on when the adcom is able to meet. They did say they "hope to do it by 11/15".6 days until we start hearing news. From previous years' threads it looks like they do phone calls - any idea what time they start / end at?
Thanks for the info. It's mildly frustrating that the date might be getting pushed back yet again, but I'm sure Dr. Willis' resignation has caused a bit of turmoil.I was at second look day on Tuesday and the used the phrase "later in November" for first batch. Just wanted to throw that out there for expectations sake. I've heard 11/13 and 11/15, but I also think it wouldn't be unlikely if it ends up being some time after.
In short, I think they want to do it by the end of next week with the possibility of the week after depending on adcom.
For sure. New school still figuring things out and I'm sure Dr. Willis stuff impacted plans. I think they are torn between wanting to give us as much info as possible and not wanting to give us incorrect information on something they have limited control over. Thanks for the info. It shouldn't affect your chances and you can reply to their email saying something like "Thanks for the offer to move my interview day up, but I would like to keep my December XX date as scheduled.I postponed my interview date to December due to time conflicts and received an email that there is an open interview spot on my original date. I hope this won’t put me at a disadvantage. Did they explicitly mention that they prefer earlier interview candidates?
IMO these questions were pretty standard MMI questions but there were a couple of exceptions that were pretty tough. Don’t panic, though, as it seemed like they were gauging your values vs. looking for a ‘right’ answer.Any last minute advice for the MMI portion? This is my first MMI interview!
Congrats! What time did you find out?IS II today! So happy! I submitted primary 11/1 and complete 11/11
Email came in just after 5 pm CTCongrats! What time did you find out?

The school is binded if you accept but you are not binded until match day.Is the admission offer binding or nonbinding?

Interview mid august
Congrats to all prematchers! So happy for y'all!I have been informed prematches will be sent starting around 2PM today, but not many. Watch out for the 903 numbers!
I was told they would be ‘stingy’ for this first round and a very small number went out, probably not even 10. January is most likely when many more of us will hear back.Congrats to all prematchers! So happy for y'all!
I was going to ask, do we know if this means they made the first 40 prematches (full class, the number of prematches they said they would make the first round) or just a portion? If the former, since this school is prematch heavy, should I re-evaluate my interview approach😅? Thanks!
I think maybe for tyler residents or closeby people to the school like the guarenteed acceptance programs.I was told they would be ‘stingy’ for this first round and a very small number went out, probably not even 10. January is most likely when many more of us will hear back.
Congrats!!IS II today!!! Direct ties to East Texas (San Jacinto County)!
For future reference: Primary submitted 6/30, secondary received 8/6, secondary submitted 11/15 (yes, literally ; this turnaround time was unmatched). From what I saw while signing up, there's four interview days left; 2 in December and 2 in January!
Question tho. Only date available is January 10th. I cannot attend that day but I see that they have a January 16th slot that appears full. Is it worth calling the admissions office to accommodate? I want to take advantage of the opportunity but since it is a physical interview it makes planning a bit hard+1 II yesterday at like 6 pm

They let me change to the 17th. The email said they just have it locked for now. That being said UTT is very selective with int, something like only 240-300 are sentSince there’s only 1 interview date left does that mean the school is done giving out interviews for the year?
Thank you! I have interviewed here in the past. I’m just confused to why I wouldn’t receive an interview this year when my application is stronger. They let me change to the 17th. Very true. Anyways, they do not owe me an interview because I am re-applicant. If it doesn’t happen it’s okay. Such is life lolYeah with only 24 students per interview day and they are already filling up the final 2 days, I'd guess they have maybe 15 more slots to send out.
Hey! What time did you receive the interview?+1 IS II today. Very pleasantly surprised! I wasn't sure I fit the demographic they are looking for. Not from east TX but attended undergrad in a county they consider east TX on their map.

Excellent decision - you are destined for greater pastures and must give the opportunity to others to be able to receive a prematch early. The sun sets early today on this cold Wednesday evening. An East Texas native, growing up as a young harvester on the beautiful plains of the south, today is a bittersweet day. The harvester has decided to leave the pine curtain, and withdraw their prematch offer. On an endless journey of collecting II's, I look behind me and see the sorrowful trail of other applicants. People with stories, hopes, dreams. Knowing the path I take is riddled with the remains of applicants who could not fare this trek, I recognize the privilege I have. I stand on this hill of acceptance, also standing on the graves of hundreds of my predecessors.
I withdraw from UT Tyler, content that another traveler shall see this place as their home instead. All that shall remain of me are my footsteps and memory in East Texas, forever pointing to another morrow of II's.
Somewhere in Tyler, the last petal of a magnificent rose has finally fallen. Its remains shall fertilize the soil that will nurture another that will soon take its place. The sun sets early today on this cold Wednesday evening.
