Got the status update. Just reminding us how their cycle works and that people still on hold haven’t been forgotten about.
I was complete on 7/16 and haven't heard anything eitherI was complete on 7/25, and radio silence... anyone else? I was under the assumption that VCU sent Rs out as they reviewed apps.
I know it must happen but I haven't seen anyone report getting rejected before they're put on the post-interview hold, which makes me think that nearly everyone gets the hold post-interview. So I don't think there's any meaningful data to be drawn from getting a hold, unfortunately!anyone know the post hold A rate?
Overall rate of acceptance, per admit.org, is 52%. I have heard their OOS acceptance rate is 70%, which would make the IS acceptance rate lower (possibly due to students wanting to stay in state). Overall, pretty solid chances!anyone know the post hold A rate?
So they confirmed anybody on hold has a guaranteed waitlist spot if not accepted. From what I've seen on MSAR i think around 100 are waitlisted and 75 of those are given a seatanyone know the post hold A rate?
Complete 7/26 and also have not heard anythingI was complete on 7/16 and haven't heard anything either
They should've sent you an email that has the presentation links too, check your spam folder? The interview day presentation link no longer works on my portal 🙁 Did anyone get a copy and can share?
Mine expired, too 🙁 Oh well, I'm not accepted (yet)The interview day presentation link no longer works on my portal 🙁 Did anyone get a copy and can share?
I also scheduled for first few days of December and am wondering the same thing!@ClashRoyaleKing i wish you luck! How does VCU roll out decisions? I just scheduled for an early Dec interview — would i also hear back in mid Dec?

They release admissions on four dates each cycle. The first was October 16th. The next ones are December 16th, and then early February and mid March, if I remember correctly. Since you are both interviewing before December 16th, that date should be your first potential date for an admissions offer.I also scheduled for first few days of December and am wondering the same thing!
My interview is scheduled almost 2 weeks before the 16th so it’ll be an honor to be right there with you tweaking/refreshing my email 🫡They release admissions on four dates each cycle. They are super nice and are intentional about calming nerves and making it low pressure, so nothing to be nervous about. Just prepare to answer the typical questions (I.e. tell me about yourself, why medicine, why VCU) and standard MMI scenarios. You’ll be good!I have my interview with VCU in early December, anyone got any pointers on how to prep? This is my first interview so I'm super nervous.
Awesome thank you so much!! What do you mean by release admissions? As in releasing information about whether you’re accepted or waitlisted or rejected for another round of applicants? They release admissions on four dates each cycle. The first was October 16th. No. They offer only acceptances on those four dates. If you are not offered admission during any of those dates, you become a part of the waitlist. What do you mean by release admissions? I submitted one in their portal and ended up getting an interview.does this school accept pre-II updates?
This is weird bc the FAQ section in the portal says “May I submit additional materials and/or updates to my application while it is being considered?I submitted one in their portal and ended up getting an interview.
OopsThis is weird bc the FAQ section in the portal says “May I submit additional materials and/or updates to my application while it is being considered?
- ONLY at the request of the Admissions Committee. Otherwise, please DO NOT submit additional materials or updates. We believe that the AMCAS application you initially submitted is representative of your academic abilities and activities. Unsolicited materials will be discarded.”
That's interesting, according to MSAR "Notice of significant updates that detail new grades, recent presentations or newly published articles are accepted." Tho I assume the portal has the most UTD information. This is weird bc the FAQ section in the portal says “May I submit additional materials and/or updates to my application while it is being considered?

I mean good on you, clearly it worked out 🤣Oops
One would think but who knows. I kind of had to search for the info, it's not immediately obvious and there is a place to upload new docs on the portal. That's interesting, according to MSAR "Notice of significant updates that detail new grades, recent presentations or newly published articles are accepted." how soon after sending the update did u get the IIThanks! Yeah I'm not saying the update letter contributed to me getting an II but it definitely wasn't a bad thing. I probably should have looked into it more though.

Maybe after you’re waitlisted in March (if it comes to that). But after you’ve interviewed, you’re scored and that’s your score for the rest of your cycle. Pre-II I don’t think would move the needle much.do they accept letter of intent?
yes me too, no update at all. complete 7/19has anyone who has been complete since mid July not receive any updates, even the wave of pre II R that was sent out
Congratulations! The MMI interviewers were SO nice! You've got this!+1 INTL II (!!!)
My first II... I could cry (out of happiness, but also out of fear of MMI lol)
