how strict is Cornell on the writing pre-reqs? technically to graduate from my uni you needed two writing credits, but none of them were English, in fact one of them was sort of science-based/ research-processing writing credit. the other was history

I feel like the history one would count. Last year I emailed them a really lengthy and specific question regarding prerequisite-they were happy to respond. If you are rlly worried it wouldn’t hurt to ask!

I took both Englishs, but listed non-English, writing-intensive courses to fulfill the requirement.

They say that the course has to have 10 pages worth of writing in English to count as an intensive writing course.

Anybody interviewing next week and not yet received an email about the specific interview times and zoom link information? When scheduling my interview, the email response said that info would be sent the Friday before the interview. I'm guessing it's due to the holidays and I'll reach out Monday but wondered if anyone was in the same boat. Thanks!

The interview coordinator told me before I was placed in the zoom room with the interviewer, so ur going into the interview blind.

I had 2 faculty interviews, and the interviews were pretty conversational, just general questions like why Cornell, etc

This was probably my first interview where I felt like they read my application and really heard what I had to say. This was easily my most pleasant interview so far. I hope future interviewees feel encouraged by that information. I wish everyone luck!

Its a bit confusing. go to the "secondary complete" email. I spent days scouring the web and that was the most valuable info tbh.
