Have any IS applicants who applied after 8/25 received an II yet? After looking at last year's UWSMPH thread, I saw IS applicants who submitted on the 25th receiving IIs in September, and those who submitted around 9/1 receiving IIs in November. I submitted on 8/26 so I'm hoping to hear something in October if the timeline holds up.

I'm in a similar situation and feel the same way lmao like just put me out of my misery they keep doing these wavesOOS Applicant, secondary submitted/marked complete on 8/1 but haven’t heard anything yet…very anxious LOL
Guess I’m not sure what you guys mean, because all IS students submit 8/25 or later. I submitted 9/2 and already interviewed. They mentioned that when you interview has no impact on admissions as they admit 20% waves of their class incrementally throughout the cycle.IS submitted 8/25 and also have heard nothing. Edit: Ah, I see you meant like actually after 8/25. Yes, I submitted the week after.

Did they say in the post interview/closing if they accept top 20% of interview cohort too? I think they said admit top 30%, waitlist middle 30%, and reject bottom 30%. Also they have an extremely complex way to decide these scores, like VERY complicated.Did they say in the post interview/closing if they accept top 20% of interview cohort too? I wasn't sure if I heard him correctly.

Hopefully! Honestly the whole process is so complex, it's almost futile to self analyze your own app. Billion working parts to a single application lol.So confusing. Hopefully it pans out in our favor.

SO happy to have received an OOS II a couple of weeks ago! Did anyone schedule their interview date for early Nov but not have a time yet? Tweaking out bc I have to request time off work :0
So this is a little bit of a misunderstanding if what I remember from the interview is correct. From each interview cohort comes approximately 20% of each admitted class, meaning there are 5 interview cohorts. That does not mean that it is a 20% chance of acceptance from each cohort. That depends more on what section you are applying to, whether it be WARM, MD, or MSTP, they are all pooled into their own categories that will all ultimately have their own rate. Such as in-state post-II A rate, which is closer to 50% according to MSAR. I also seem to remember a range of dates, unless that has changed since the first interview date. They mentioned anywhere from 4-8 weeks so from ~Nov 3 to mid Dec. Please correct me if I am wrong or update me on changes as that would be greatly appreciated.I remember 20% as well from each interview cohort. Decision to come out dec 16 they said
Yes the 20% of each cohort for the admitted class is correct not 20% chance. As far as the date, i wrote in my notes dec 16th i dont know why when im looking back on it. I may be mistaken so dont quote me on it. I remember them saying most of the seats will be in state students tho like majority of the class will be in stateSo this is a little bit of a misunderstanding if what I remember from the interview is correct. Thank you! What about the group interview? I'm so nervous about that one.it was very chill and conversational. just know your app.
It was like mmi but way more chill. Its like open discussionThank you! What about the group interview? I'm so nervous about that one.
Not to be that guy, but getting questions both puts prior interviewees at a disadvantage and breaks NDA for those disclosing. Just be yourself, do normal interview prep, it’s pretty laid back. Also when you say know your app, you mean they ask specific questions about activities?

Mid November? But I think a larger bulk in decemberWhen do we think acceptances will start coming out
Looking into past years threads, the first batch (October-ish interview dates) should hear back anytime from yesterday, to the latest on the 14th/21st. And I think second batch is same time but December. So yeah what Premedhopefull2256 said to a T.Mid November? But I think a larger bulk in december

Replying to this; I think they call over a series of days so if u are not the first call, don’t worry too much!Looking into past years threads, the first batch (October-ish interview dates) should hear back anytime from yesterday, to the latest on the 14th/21st. On MSAR they listed Nov 17th as the earliest Acceptance notice. I think this holds up to past years, but they were sent earlier last year. It could also be that they call earlier, and update portals on Nov 17th.
