Who is excited for interviewing at Campbell this week?!?!?! I AM! Anybody interviewing Wednesday? Good luck folks!

I'm super excited!!! I'm interviewing on Tuesday! Good luck to you as well!

Good luck to everyone interviewing tomorrow! Be yourselves and have fun. I will be there on Wednesday, and I will definitely have to remind myself the same.

All the best!

Didn't apply here yet for financial reasons...is it too late to send in a secondary now?

If you are interested in CU SOM I would definitely apply, it's not too late by any means!

I interview on Wednesday too! Getting into town pretty late tomorrow night 🙁

Anyone that has already interviewed -- how hard is it to find the interview site if you stay at that hotel in Lillington... assuming you've never been to the area before?

Any advice/tips for us interviewees??

The good news is that the hotel in Lillington (Microtel I believe) is literally just a 5-10 minute drive down the road... and the school and campus is a straight shot on the road you pull out of the hotel on, impossible to get lost😉 However, while you can't miss the new med building along the highway give yourself a little extra time to get parked on campus. There will be someone in the parking lot to greet you but it can still be confusing when the student traffic is going strong in the morning.

Good luck on the interview, seriously just relax and be yourself so the interviewers can see who you are that is going to make a good physician. They are not there to drill you or throw curve balls. Smile and be professional and the day will fly by

It's a pretty straight shot to campus. I think there's only one major road that goes to the campus (I think it's 421). For my interview, it was easy once I got to the campus because there were "CUSOM interview" signs that took me to the parking lot. You will be fine, just leave a little early to make yourself feel better but you probably won't need it.

Good luck on the interviews. They are really laid back, everyone is very friendly. If anyone remembers to take pictures of the building's progress I would be pretty pumped 🙂

Good luck all. Try to enjoy it.

So what did you all who interviewed today think of the school? Do share!!! How many seats are filled thus far?

To be quite honest, I have been torn between choosing from campbell and ATSU.
If it wasn't ATSU-SOMAs 1+3 program where I will get to spend years 2-4 at a CHC in Brooklyn, NY; I would attend Campbell in a heartbeat.

When I visited for my interview I absolutely fell in love with every little thing about this school... the faculty/staff were unbelievably enthusiastic/nice; the campus was beautiful, and the new building looked very promising.

My only concern for this school would have been that I would be a part of the inaugural class but to be quite honest, I don't think they will have a problem regarding this.

I am sad to say that I will be withdrawing my application and declining my acceptance.
Hope it goes to one of you SDN'ers!

Goodluck!

So I've been complete here since about October 15th and I'm really really really hoping for an interview invite. Every day that goes by without one I die a little bit inside.

Have you called them to follow up?
If you are dying inside and want to go that bad you should send in an update.

Have you called them to follow up?

I called them a while ago just to make sure they had received my secondary and letters and payment. The lady I spoke with on the phone said they had and made it sound like it would be awhile before I heard anything back. But, would it be rude to call and ask about my status?

I wouldn't say it's rude unless they tell you to wait to check back until ____ date. Sometimes persistence is key

Okay I will call them tomorrow. I know my chances at this school aren't that great since I'm from California, but I would love the opportunity to interview here. Thanks for the advice.

I interviewed yesterday and loved it! You all were right, everyone is soo nice and the interviews are very laid back and conversational!!! I can't wait to hear back on December 6th with, HOPEFULLY, great news! 🙂

I was complete months ago. Stats are average. Tons of med experience. Non-Trad...

Ditto on all counts! Such a great school!!!

Where is a good place to stay...Interview Tuesday and need a hotel

I sure did! It is Dec 4th!!!

Anyone else going that day?

Campbell is going to be a great program in the years to come. It has really impressed me. For those who are interviewing and lurking, there will be a class of 150+ for the first year: out of these 150 spots a total of 16 folks have paid deposits!!! I bet there is a ton of accepted folks, but only 16 deposits thus far!!! Come this Thursday, decisions will be made on another batch of apps one of which is mine and I am really hoping to make it into this program. Good luck everyone!

I agree. They are really organized and the whole state is supporting them!

I received a phone call in which I chose which date I wanted and then an email with more information the next day.
Thanks for the quick response. Is it an automated message, if not, who's the person calling? Just curious, thanks

No problem! Nope, you talk to a person. I talked to Angela but it sounds like most people talked to Joy.

I finally got the II call! I was losing hope haha...

9/24 submitted secondary
11/7 complete e-mail
12/3 II

I was offered 1/3 and 1/4...both of which have expensive plane tickets 🙁 anyone else going either of those days??

I am so excited yet so terrified for Dec 6th. I thought my interviews all went pretty well, but I will not get excited until I get the call. For those interviewing soon, there is something uniquely cool about the atmosphere here. You'll love it. I certainly did and Campbell has now become my top choice. Come on Joy, make this happen for me!!!

Good luck! Look at the bright side, I had to wait a month and a half after my interview before I got a decision from LECOM because my letter got lost in the mail lol luckily I knew I would decline the offer so I didn't care so much. I couldn't imagine waiting that amount of time for a school that I was sure I wanted to attend. A couple days was hard enough!

My same exact thoughts!! 2 more days of waiting and then hopefully it'll be the happiest day of our lives!!! 🙂

For those who have been accepted would you share your MCAT and GPA? also Date of application being complete and interview offer date.

First post on page 16! booya...dream come true

Well I wanted to post some personal thoughts about the school and the interview...

I found the area around the college to be similar to my hometown, just smaller. The people where all friendly. Campbell reminded me of the College I attended. It was very cozy, and not to spread out.

The Medical Building will be amazing. Very state-of-the-art. But that was not the impressive part. The enthusiasm, commitment, and friendliness of the staff really made me feel that CUSOM is the place to be. Plus the possibility of a scholarship is very cool.

Overall....I think that it will be a great choice for me...if I get the call Thursday.

Thanks a lot bigstudy! Looks like the building has come a long ways since I last saw it. Good luck to all waiting for good news, future classmates!

+1

Much more impressed than I thought I would be by the whole day.
