So I called them and they said it was my MCAT score...that it was just below their average and based on the pool they wanted to maintain that competitive average. So there it is....well, positive thinking .... It wasn't an outright reject.

That was kinda my thought?? She said nothing about my interview...but maybe I just didn't give myself enough sparkle to get them over the MCAT score.

Like I said at least it wasn't an outright rejection. But I don't think DMU's wait list moves a lot.

Give them a couple of months and send in a letter of intent? I remember you from your KCUMB luck, so maybe more will be coming your way! Best wishes!

Guys, from my understanding, we had a ton of WL movement last year. So, by no means are you out of the game if you are on the Alternate List. So, try to remain positive and realize that Alt list does not equate to rejection. Congratulations to those of you who were accepted! We hope you enjoyed the interview day and I look forward to the possibility being classmates with you guys in the near future! Enjoy this moment!

I'm taking 4 days off of work that week for personal time so I should actually be well rested for this one.

The last two schools I visited both had a Saks outlet within reasonable driving distance. If Des Moines has one, then it will totally be love. DMU already has the better gym situation...

Zombie Burger is a relatively new burger place in Downtown East Village of Des Moines. They have all sorts of crazy burger concoctions. My personal favorite is the one with two grilled cheese sandwiches for the buns to the burger.

Yeah I was able to move mine up by almost a month when someone else switched dates. Just pay attention to this thread usually ppl will post if they cancel their date.

Also im a fan of your name. Im picturing a tabby in downward dog which makes me smile.

They explicitly say it can be 60 days until you hear something. Stop worrying.

I as well did not receive any of the famous chocolate chip cookies, and thus will be withdrawing my application from consideration post-interview 😉
