help, albany vs downstate

hey all,

looking for deciding btwn downstate and albany. I liked albany more, but downstate is way cheaper, and im not sure which is a better school, any advice?

How much is way cheaper, and what specifically about Albany did you like (or rather, what didn't you like about Downstate)?

I got into both too and I chose DS over albany. 20k a year cheaper is a big deal for me. Med school is med school, whereever you go you'll be spending most of your time studying anyway

I shadowed a doctor who went to Albany med. She told me that she was still paying off her med school debt (in her late 40's) and wished she had gone to a state school instead because it really doesn't matter where you go in the end. So I would go to the cheaper one, unless you have a really compelling desire to go to to Albany/not go to downstate.
