I got the AL yesterday. Did you get an email like thirty minutes later saying “Thank you for choosing Downstate Health Sciences University for pursuing the MD degree studies!!”, and “Once again, thank you for choosing Downstate for your higher studies! We wish you all the best with your studies!!” ??? Idk what this means… i feel like it’s an acceptance but i see nothing on CYMS and I got the alternative list on the portal

they haven’t approved mine yet! based on how long it took for them to mark off my transcript, i’m assuming it will take them a while. they haven’t checked off my citizenship yet

They checked my transcript very fast. On April 17. But have yet to do the rest.

I don't think so. I heard that they waitlist or reject everyone once the initial pools of applicants are full. Then as some people gets off they will slowly pick ppl from wait list throughout summer...

I heard the same in my Q&A session after my interview so I think I'll just check things off. I think it just says "not required" to do it instead of "forbidden" - forbidden is a strong word lol but yeah

Is there a deadline? If yes, pay it. Worst case is you don’t get into the MD program if you don’t want to do MPH only you just lose your deposit.
