I don’t think they’re even close to filling all of their seats yet. Only a few people have posted in this thread that they got accepted so far and there’s more interviews that they have to do. The majority of people that interviewed already haven’t heard anything yet so I wouldn’t worry! We’re still in it

I also think that they are going to be accepting a lot more than they have available seats for because they know people will choose other schools over them since they are new.

Anyone who’s been accepted and have committed: how much was the security deposit ?

Anyone from January submissions hear anything yet?! Still freaking out. Wondering if / when they’ll tell us if we were denied

How do you know that? Also do you know how many interview dates there are until March 14? I just really don't understand how you could accept people in February and still be interviewing a month after. Its such a long wait for people that interviewed in early February and have not heard anything.

I really think they are going to wait until the last week of March to tell anyone who was denied

Earlier posts have said March 1 was the last interview date.

When I was able to speak with the dean she had told me through email as well as verbally that she could change my interview date to March 14. The dean only told me March 14 was another date I didn't ask if there were any more interview dates before that date. The CASPer test is also offered on 2 dates the 6th and the 18th. It seems like you had an interview on March 1 and the days after you have to take the CASPer test. I'm not really sure though. But one of my interviewers did say that the decisions would come some days before or after the 27th through snail mail, but wasn’t sure if it would come through email.

Well they sent email acceptances to other students, not really sure why they would even wait until the 27th when they started sending them out on feb 14th

I was also told the same thing regarding decisions but then they accepted some people on February 14th by email which is what is causing the mass confusion on this thread.

I vaguely recall reading on the website FAQ or admissions page somewhere quite a while ago that they were trying to do things on a semi-rolling basis? I could be wrong, but it would explain some of this first cycle weirdness.

ETA: So the website currently says that notifications should be out by March 27th, but doesn’t mention anything about rolling admissions (I could have sworn that it did before, though—am I going crazy?). It’s still feasible that they may have sent out a round of acceptances for their top candidates that they interviewed earlier on back in February with the intent of putting out decisions for the others by that March 27th date. There are a few other vet schools that do admissions in this way, so it’s not unprecedented. Will be interesting to see if the process changes next cycle since they’ll be participating in VMCAS.
Yes, it did say rolling admissions initially. And I asked one of the interviewers about it and she said that they wouldn’t be following that procedure that all decisions would come the week of March 27.

I definitely agree that they accepted their top candidates first, but its just weird that some of us interviewed the same day as them the 8th and we have to wait until the 27th. I also read that it was rolling admissions and then they took it down.

I feel like they are maybe going thru instate applications first even though they are private they probably think New Yorkers are more likely to commit to going because of being in state. Which is stupid, I am out of state (not very far, still in new england) and I would DEFF accept a spot for this coming fall but unfortunately still have not heard anything regarding my application. I am thinking of emailing soon to ask if I can assume that my application has been denied or if there is still a chance

I can’t say for others but I’m OOS and I was one of the first interviewed

I just got an email saying I need to take the CASPer test even though I already interviewed.

I will most likely be declining by the end of next week (IS)! Good luck guys!

Thats what I did and they said they would notify me when they make a decision

Also I want to know how much this holds weight in decisions. Considering I’m taking it on Sunday and have no time to prep

How can they accept people who didn't take the casper test and then make everyone else take it, so weird. I just got the email to take it as well
You haven’t been offered interview or acceptance but you got an email stating to take Casper? Out of curiosity what did the email say because I haven’t gotten that yet..

It just says we have to take the casper and we didn't have to before because they didn't have a contract with them yet and they will send out letters by March 26th. I can't imagine it weighing that much since its opinion based and just judges our attributes, which is easy for anyone to fake and answer how they want you to

Did anyone who got accepted receive an email regarding housing and signing up? My friend received and email about it but hasn’t been fully accepted yet so we’re kinda confused.

It looked more like a generic email sent out to everyone on the email list.

I haven’t gotten this email?

It was just an email from the executive dean from the University (not the CVM itself) about on campus housing options, which makes me think it was a generic email since it wasn't directly from the CVM.

Hi! I have an interview on the 14th online, I’m in state. Has anyone had an interview online? What kinds of questions do they ask ?? Also does anyone know the tuition? Their website is very patchy. Thanks in advance!!

also I only had one recommendation letter sent because I got accepted into ross and heard some sketchy things about LIU so I didn’t follow up, but still somehow got an interview??

I'm in the same boat as you. I was just accepted to Ross today and have my LIU interview on the 14th. I'm torn on what I'll do if I get into LIU. Hopefully we receive some pointers before the 14th. Best of luck !!

Update: my friend ended up finding a myLIU log in page and it let her log in and she found a spot where it says she’s admitted for the fall but she never got an email or phone call from LIU?? Weird time

So I got an email from the dean that they want my final transcripts from this semester (in may) but I still haven’t received an interview or anything regarding my application. They said there is at least 2 more rounds of interviews MAYBE 3. But everyone will have a decision by March 26. I’m confusedddddddd. If they want my final transcripts but those won’t be till may do you guys think maybe they’re going to waitlist me?????? HELP

That sounds like it would be a waitlist situation, but I’m not sure for certain if they’re doing that.

It says under their FAQ that they are waitlisting people. Other schools will usually interview and whatnot and then request final transcripts once an offer for admission is made. Idk why they would want transcripts for a semester that isn’t even over yet now.

Yes I am very confused too. I just wish I knew what they are deciding for me! I haven’t been given an interview date or anything so I’m assuming I might just flat out be denied

How could they give an interview to someone that submitted one letter of recommendation. Also how could they accept people who didnt take the Casper but make everyone else take it. I'm pretty sure it isn't going to affect their decision at all. At this point they have everyone ranked. How many people are they really interviewing if they've been interviewing for 2 months. Your friend that logged into the LIU page is def in because they wouldnt be able to if they weren't

I also know of someone who is still submitting LOR’s to LIU. I don’t know why since the deadline was in January, but I don’t think anyone really has any idea of what’s going on

No she definitely is, she was very confused and found a spot that said “admitted” so she contacted them and got the oficial acceptance email the next day

I was able to log into my account too and found out I was accepted... they emailed me 15 min later with the acceptance email. I interviewed on feb 29th
