Got the same one. Also hoping to get an ii in a month. Except I don't know what to send as an update. I have nothing new to add to my resume.

im right there with you on that..

Does anyone know the maximum number of rec letters they accept? I have no resume updates, but I have more rec letters I can send while I'm on hold.

We do not have a maximum, but we require three for a very specific reason. Sending more is not necessarily better.

Thanks,

We do have a Facebook group for the class of 2018, but not an accepted student thread.

You should post the link for the FB group here for those that are accepted. 🙂

Is there weekly exams at Marian? like AZCOM's weekly Monday early am one?

Exams are not weekly. If you are an admitted student, be sure to review the first volume of the Advantage Series on the curriculum. Specifically, review the week-by-week schedules of the current first year students. The exam schedule for the Class of 2018 will generally be the same.

Exam schedules are very different from AZCOM. The first semester, we basically have block exams. They did it so we wouldn't do the whole "cram and forget" type of thing, it forces u to keep up. Not gonna lie, wasn't a fan at first
because I was used to constant exam taking in grad school but I see the positive of it here. The only thing that stinks is while you're enrolled in anatomy for the first 4 months, you have that and your major science test on the same day with a 10-15 minute break in between. I really dislike having to prepare for 2 exams at the same time since you basically go from one to the other, but that's how it's done. It'll be better (I'm assuming) once anatomy is over because you'll just have one exam to worry about per day. Most every exam is on a Monday because we've been told it's school policy, but for some reason OMM exams don't always fall on Mondays. Hope this answers your question! But I agree with admin, take a look at the weekly schedule it'll give you a good sense of everything!

A question for admissions: What exactly does the letter of intent for those applicants placed on the wait list entail? I haven't been able to find any guidance on how to approach it. Thanks!

Hi! It is a non-binding attestation of your choice and desire to attend MU-COM, if admitted, and the reasons why. Please do not simply restate what is already in your primary and supplemental applications. ;-)

I was successfully pulled of the WL a few weeks after submitting a LOI so if you have any questions feel free to PM me 🙂

Placed on the alternate list on Thursday. I am really excited about the possibility of being accepted off the list 🙂

Are we gonna have a possibility of some movements off the alternate list on 15th or so ?

Thanks for your question. As posted earlier, our practice is and has been to review the alternate list once a month. While offers have been made to applicants on the alternate list, future movement cannot be predicted. Your patience is appreciated.

If you have a question about your specific situation, please contact Bryan.

Would anyone here be willing to help me out with the interview process? I'm particularly interested in knowing where you guys decided to stay the night before and at what time the P.M. session ends? I'm looking at flights right now and it seems that I can catch a 7:30pm back, assuming 5pm is when Marian's interview date ends.

For possible hotels, consult the interview section of our website at http://www.marian.edu/osteopathic-medical-school/interview.

Friday interviews end by 5:30 PM and Saturdays by 1 PM.

Due to the overwhelming number of high quality applicants that are already scheduled to interview, MU-COM has added an extra interview weekend in early January. While those spots have been filled, there are openings for an earlier interview time starting in mid-January.

If you would like to move to an earlier interview date, please contact Bryan at [email protected]. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Interviews last until late April. If we are interviewing, there are seats in our class. We do not interview for the alternate list.
