More relaxed at Jeff? Really? I noticed the opposite when I interviewed at both schools, and other people I've spoken to that interviewed at both felt the same way. Jefferson's certainly in a better area, no doubt, and both schools' students seemed happy. Temple students just struck me as more down to earth and genuine, which was part of why I chose it.

To be honest, I didn't interview at Temple, so I can't compare them in terms of which student body is more relaxed. I just liked Jefferson's location a lot, and I can't imagine that Temple could be significantly more laid-back than Jeff (if at all), so that's why I said I'd choose Jefferson. Both great schools though, it's just a matter of personal preference between them.

Jeff probably is a mid-tier med school, but the hospital has a lot of "high-ranked" residency programs for competitive specialities such as ortho (Rothman), ENT, ophtho (Wills), radiology, etc. It's definitely nice to go to a school that has a strong program in a specialty that you want to do. However, it's definitely not something I would rank high on priority when picking med school. Go to the one with the best fit or the cheapest. All the PA schools are pretty solid.
