I just received word from a family friend that interviews for NYCOM that the class is full and they will not be interviewing any more.

I'm sorry, by that do you mean they accepted enough students or that they already have enough students who paid the deposit and secured a seat?

I don't think so, they accept way over the limit for the class. They have 270 seats but they accept 1.5 students per seat. So around 400 or above for a class of 300 because not everyone will comitt. And this seems way too early for all students to have committed and a class be full when they're more interviews in December.

I would call them and check until when they're conducting interviews. If they're stopping interviews then I guess that counts as a rejection.

They interview well into april lol and even into may before just because they started interviewing earlier this year doesnt mean their done 5 months earlier than usual

Hard to say, completed 10/26, but didn't send MCAT score because I didn't read the instructions. They responded with an email telling me they don't have the score on 10/28 and I think I had the scores sent that same day. Received II on 11/12.

Lectures are not mandatory for the lecture group, they are recorded. But you do have to come in for the labs.

"provisional acceptance" means that you are accepted as long as you pay the deposits on time, have a clean background check, have a physical and all required vaccines, etc...so if you get arrested or do not pay in time your acceptance will be revoked.

Yea this is what I thought. I just heard from someone that this was the case. I had a hard time believing that this would be the case so I came here to ask. Doesnt look like that would be a good run for any medical school if they were to follow such a policy.

Technically speaking after they cash your deposit, if you get arrested your still good to go "they just ask about any prior incarcerations, arrests, speeding tickets, blah blah blah" If you had one of these transgressions before and you did not enlighten them about it in the section of your supplemental, then you are pretty ****ed, if you got an interview and you did write about what happened to you, then you are good to go. Also after your deposit is cashed (not sent, as in they cash the check you sent) and you get arrested afterwards for: partying too hard, flipping cars, public intoxication, starting a cult, competing in an unregistered lucha libre wrestling tournament, then you are still safe and will not have your acceptance revoked since it is after the fact.

I would try calling again... most people in the admissions office will give you information over the phone if you tell them you interviewed in October

I don't think that's he case. There's lots of people from September that have been hearing weeks apart..
