I thought second round of admissions already came out on the 14th? Some people on here got acceptances that day. So from now on, it’s rolling.
I was told on 12/17 on my interview date. The two people on here that heard back the Friday before interviewed in November

I interviewed on the 4th, but I don’t think most other post December interviewees have heard anything so far

Do you guys know if admissions is open any time next week?

Has anyone paid the security deposit yet?

I paid it and sent in the acceptance form but I have not heard anything. Kind of stressing me out. Probably because they have not been in the office because of the holidays hopefully.

I reached out this morning and that was the information they gave me. They were behind in updating

I called this morning as well and they said they will email me with a conformation. I got an email conformation an hour ago.

Have some important questions. I hope some of you will answer these questions.
Do Maryland let students who have early flights to leave earlier as my flight is at 6:15 pm and on the email, they said the interview day concludes at 5 pm. But at Nova, they asked us who has an early flight and some of us was able to leave earlier.

Second question how far is BWI airport from the school, on google maps it says 15 min

Third question: IS TSA lines are long and busy or is it Ok.

Any info will be helpful. I am just trying to figure out how to make it in time. Thanks a lot!

1) Yes they allow you to leave whenever works for you and typically all is complete by 4:30 and the last hour is kind of a "wrap up". If i recall correctly, the last interview allotment is at 3:30 (and it usually takes 30 minutes).

2) The trip took me about 20-30 minutes each time (Done it twice, both times coming in the day before the interview and going there afterwards at around 4-5)

3) I've had no problems with TSA lines there, but being a white american male probably helps lol.

In regards to the interview just go in comfortable and have fun; Dr. Porter is a wonderful lady and James Camper, who runs the entire event, is SOOOOOOOO amazing (if you talk about his snazzy suits and/or bowtie he will love you). Just know you'll have a ton of fun, and if you have any specific questions don't be afraid to ask me (such as specific questions asked, etc)

Thank you so much, this is very helpful and it eased my mind. I am glad you got in, you are very nice 🙂
Which hotel you recommend and is it safe around the campus, the area looks beautiful from the photos.
I also wanted to check the aquarium, they have a large aquarium in Baltimore there but I guess I'll be missing it this time because of my trip schedule.

Hello! Thank you for all your help and answering questions! Very kind of you

I was wondering if you can run through the actual interview with us? What we should know that’s not ovious etc.

Has anyone received the supplemental application recently? Wondering if they're still sending them out, and if there's a point when they stop.

Has anyone heard anything else about acceptances? I still haven’t heard back.

I did one interview on February of 2018 (for class of 2022, didn't get in) and stayed in a cheap hotel the night before (forgot the name, but the hotels there are pretty decent). This most recent trip on October (for class of 2023) I stayed at a REALLY cheap air-bnb (only 27/night) for 3 nights just so I can have fun and get to learn the city. Looking back on it I would definitely stay in a hotel within a mile of the campus (theres atleast half a dozen) and not use an air-bnb; I had a wonderful time staying over at some guys place but the city is fairly sketchy to say the least (a TON of fun though, just a heads up lol)

I walked by the aquarium numerously, and while it looked really nice it was also terribly expensive (I think 40-50 bucks!). I've heard good things about it, but being a marine bio major I think I've seen enough fishy's to not be inclined to spend that type of money lol.

If you're looking to have fun make sure to go to the inner harbor and just walk around. The bar scene is a ton of fun, the oysters are delicious, and the community is full of young souls.

Wow, you are a marine biologist, that must've been a lot of fun.

Thanks for the tips. I might travel later on to see the aquarium when the weather warms up a little, I don't think I can enjoy the city in such short visit, but yeah I am not gonna take Air-bnb in a city I am not familiar with lol unless it's super host.

Did anyone receive an email saying that their UMID account has been activated and is ready to set up? Does anyone know why they would send this if I haven’t received an acceptance yet?

I did two days ago, and called. They said if you listed Maryland on your FAFSA you automatically get that email, has nothing to do woth acceptance.

Hi! For any of you who interviewed and got accepted, did your aadsas account ever change from "invited to interview" to something else before the "offer made"?

Mine went from "invited to interview" to "offer made", nothing in between.

Are they still sending out supplemental apps?
I just got email for secondary application. I was in shock bc I submitted my primary July 3rd lol.
I am not so sure if I am going to get an interview soon...at this point...

I'm in the same boat. Submitted around the same time as you and have very similar DAT scores (almost exactly the same lol). I haven't received the supplemental though. Are you in state?

What is the total cost of attendance for the 4 years? 1 year OOS and 3 years IS? or 4 years all IS? I calculated the tuition only for 4 years IS around 250k

I don't want to give false hope, but that is very possible because that what happened to me. I submitted the secondary application and after a week or so, got the invitation. Best of luck.

The letter said it needed to be received by their office by 1/14 at close of business, so I would assume postmarked by 1/14 is too late...but I paid it online and scanned the form so I didn’t really have to worry about that
