***The Official Midwestern-Illinois Class of 2024 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

Hello ! for those who interviewed here already, do they timed your answers ? or is it more conversational? Please let me know and any advice would be appreciated 🙂

They do not time your answer. You can take as much time as you want to answer each question. Total interview portion is 20-30 mins. Like many said before, just be yourself and genuine with your answers. Definitely know how to answer some specific questions like why Midwestern and why should we select you? Best of luck!

Hey guys! Got an interview invite today. I will be going on the 11th if anyone wants to meet up.

@DentistToBe1996 what are your stats if you dont mind me asking? I also interviewed earlier this week but I still haven't heard back sadly.

Does anyone have the ADEA explorer that could share a screenshot with last cycles acceptance statistics for midwestern-IL!?

Also on the alternate list 🙁 Does anyone know (maybe from previous years) if the admissions accept anyone off the alternate list while the interviews are still in process or the next time we hear from them will be once the all of the interviews are completed?

Based off of last years thread it looks like those on the alternate list didn’t start hearing back until mid March and interviews go through April!

Thank you for your response! I’m wondering when I should send them my Letter of Intent , do you know if I should do it right away or towards the beginning of March?

See u at 8 am how are u preparing?
Reviewing the interview feedback from the first page of this thread. From what everyone has said it is laid back, you just have to be yourself. I am worried about the weather and what to wear since it will be snowing. Not sure heels go well with snow lol

For my interview I wore flats and my interviewer complemented me and told me how it’s smart that I decided to wear flats instead of heels like most girls.

yup got an email at 3 am! 19 AA, 17 TS. 2.95 uGPA, 3.6 masters GPA. currently an orthodontic assistant and planning to re-take the DAT next week. I called them to let them know a couple weeks ago. I called and asked if there's any way they can re-consider their decision after I take the DAT again and they said no and the reapply next year. This was my second cycle applying to Midwestern and being rejected without an interview. Haven't gotten any interviews yet, and I'm still waiting to hear from NYU, USC, Tufts, UIC, Touro, and Louisville but losing hope.

I would strongly recommend that you study hard and do really well on the DAT. Your masters GPA will definitely help but having a 19 on ALL of the subject will for sure get you interviews for next cycle. Don't lose hope! Your hard work and dedication will get paid off. Good luck!

Hi everyone! I received an interview today. Does anyone who interviewed have a word of advice for me?

hi there, saw your post. I received multiple acceptances including UIC but MWU IL remains top choice for me. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like for me to look over your app, or give some advice.

the interview is very relaxed . like others said you can’t really prepare for it! trust me i didn’t get it until i was in the actual room. it’s like 20ish minutes. They are funny but don’t show a lot of emotion other than pleasant so don’t over think it. they let you know if you got in usually a couple days afterward!

Hey, when I interviewed on 1/15 I asked the admissions office, the lady there said it was approximately half full, but its still difficult to determine since spots can change with the acceptance deposit
Interesting, did you receive an acceptance after your interview?

Got an interview invite yesterday. I accepted my seat at another school, so I am withdrawing my app from Midwestern.

I'm assuming that this means theyre still filling seats. Good luck everyone!

I was notified one week later that I was put on the alternate list. I sent out a letter of interest yesterday and now I'm waiting to hear back. If I havent heard back in another month I may just send out a letter of intent

How long was your letter of intent?

Hey all, I haven’t gotten an interview invite yet and I’m losing hope. I have a graduate GPA of 3.2 undergrad 3.4 and DAT: 24AA/ 25TS/PA21/QR19/ RC23/BIO28/GC22/OC26.
Do I still have hope?

Yes you have hope. I have seen people being interviewed with lower gpa and wayyy lower dat scores. I just interviewed and my app was submitted back in June. They review slowly I guess but was told they will interview all up until April 7th or something
