Time To Get a WWatch - Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If there's one wagon-driven angle that I think might be interesting here, it'd be finding players that implicitly supported a genny wagon by way of not meaningfully resisting it (whether they voted or not). That might be difficult given that the time frame was limited, but that's at least the profile I'd be looking for. Not sure if anyone even fits it off-hand, and I won't be able to dig around right now.

It'd also be very good for everyone to take in Clem's most recent posts and make a current judgment. Clem's return to the game was pretty late in Day 1, so we didn't have a lot of time collectively to process what he was putting down (I don't blame Clem for that). Now we can, and that'll be a priority for me.

I keep saying I want to look at the genny wagon as if I can manifest the desire to do that. RIP

This post vote exchange is really really weird and wreaks to me of wolf unconcerned with a packmate going down.
So you think I repeatedly tried to get a wagon started on True earlier and then decided I wasn't at all worried about him getting yoten EOD? And that makes more sense than me just feeling silly?

I worded it wrong, see my other post. I think you may be a wolf and there wasn’t a packmate in danger was what that meant to say.

Well first, I don't think it makes sense for a wolf to be unconcerned about a packmate going down, I've never seen that unless it was obviously forced
Second, I don't think genny's a wolf, could be wrong but -
Third, let's wait to see how genny flips before tearing down relatively concensus village reads

She flipped village

Also read my next post that explains I’m bad at the English language.

I'm not sure how me not mentioning True in my post led you to this conclusion?

You felt weird when you came back, almost forced
Didn’t even mention a strong wagon as a possibility you thought about getting yeeted
And then continued just to be weird
I dunno
Your return to thread gave me the heebie jeebies along with you just sitting on JJJ

It would lead me to believe Clem/Nate/true wouldn’t be your packmates.
Okay, well...
Not AM. She voted for me earlier.
Not you, clearly.
Not JJJ. I've been pushing him.
Not April. I was pushing her a bunch earlier.
Not empire. I was pushing him.

So unless you think the pack is exactly me and Santy...

Laying in bed I’m thinking about how to articulate myself lol
I can look at timing later. But it felt like it had been a long while since Nate was a viable wagon. Like hours. And PSV was around after that. Including a sporty wagon that happened after.
The mention of Nate felt so god smacking out of nowhere with the state of the last few hours of the thread. It was so out of sync it felt like she could have gotten wrapped up in 2 seperate conversations, one about Nate in wolf chat that she thought was reflective of threadstate but wasn’t as reflective as she realized. That’s kind of my thought process.

If someone else wants to see if PSV really was around after Nate lost traction so she should know that, or if she was gone the entire time that’s cool. If not I’ll do it in the morning.

Now really goodnight.

Some assorted, jumbled thoughts

It would normally make natural sense that genny was the village counter-wagon to a wolf!clem, but I'm not 100% sold on that idea by the way the genny pile on happened. Clem jumped on for self prez, samac moved to avoid a tie and I think JJJ did too. That means there were only two actual votes on clem before it all went down, santy and empire. Since they were the first two there, it's not giving me the impression that one or both were trying to save clem by moving there.

Possible that santy or empire would want to park their votes there as wolves on a relatively thread-consensus-neutral, slightly wolfish read, assuming clem wasn't a packmate in danger. Haven't gone back to see when votes were placed or why though

Probably one wolf on genny's vote and at least one not on genny's vote. Just feels. Doesn't make me feel better about empire, might need to revisit santy but not my highest concern right now

I don't think pushing people clears those interactions.

Especially after the glorious wolf theater of her and Cray last game.

(Still saying this is village PSV, but yeah, pushing people firmly in her W meta)

just on the record, clem's eod posting did not feel like mafia being run up

i'm sure he's experienced and knows how to fake it but gut said he was a misyeet so i hopped

likely points to the status quo being wrong. imo

Semi-agreed. Game needs a re-sort. Doesn't necessarily mean I'm changing a bunch of reads, but I'm going to give them a chance to change.

The spreadsheet elf has brought you all a night gift.

Day 1 Vote History:
- Each row is a vote, in chronological order top to bottom
- On the right side, you can see what the resulting vote count was after each vote

Nate's spreadsheet wizardry has revealed my biggest tell. I will have to fix it. I vote way more often as town. In the last game my column was barren. 😳

Notable that AM, April, and Sporty all made two or fewer votes. SDN regulars should indicate whether they find that strange for any of them.

It's definitely a thing for some players. I was about to say I thought your vote was fluid in Halvosen but I checked: 2 votes d1, 2 votes d2, 3 votes d3.

Irrelevant note:

I just realized that a Champs Finale teammate of mine from seven years ago (season 2) was representing Student Doctor Network. DocEspana (they replaced into the game). That's a neat memory for me. It has been a long time; I wonder if they're still around.

Speaking of Finales, since the game is over let me give a loud shoutout to @supershorty for representing this place as well as she did, both in skill and in spirit. That's the kind of champs run that gets your Mafia community suddenly invaded by strangers. Uh.

I feel good about JJJ, AM for some reason, and sporty.
I wanted to feel good about PSV but I’m not so sure. I’m not going to have time to look at my Nate theory this morning, I’ll do it in the cycle if I live.
Clem didn’t feel wolfy going down, but hopefully with whatever night ability he has he did something village-y.
I feel entirely null on Nate.
Empire’s later work yesterday was better than his earlier work.
And I’m trying to decide if I just like santy and that makes me want to village read him or if he’s actually village-y.
Not great on true, but I think reading tone in stranger things vs Assassination is worth the time.
I also feel that april village bloc’d too early, espicially with the single non moving vote she should get some scrutiny today.

I’m too tired to say much of substance right now, but may we all continue to forge onward in this game with #rachpastastrength.

There's a certain beauty to the spirit of ranch pasta that you misspelled rach instead. Definition: a dog that hunts by scent. A hound. Happy hunting pasta everyone!

Your sin : Being too towny
Punishment: DEATH

Skill Issue

Im here to realtime , I kinda think that prob the towniest EoD was from Sporty still. Did no work outside of having that town still

Seems like it is at least in part cultural as well. Notice that 3/5 of the non-native players have the longest lists and the only SDNer who comes close is samac

Flashes of light streak across the sky. "They're closing in" I have so much time... but nothing left to do...

Dead is
Samac, who was
Henry Hamilton - Village - Time Donator who could donate her time to extend the life of other players living or dead, past their own expiration date, at the expense of her own life.

It is now Day 2. Vote closes at 9:00pm Central Friday 9/30.
