Hi guys. Just to let you know one of my friends recently interviewed at TCOM and he was told that they were not going to give out that many pre-match offers and will probably fill the class mostly through the match. So don't despair if you do not hear anything tomorrow.
 
This is how bad sdn and this whole process has gotten to me... i had a dream last night that utjsm and flushot and i were accepted and we met at orientation and became friends but still called eachother by our sdn names. i dont even know what y'all look like... omg. this is bad.

When I interviewed she stated that they were going to give out 50% prematch with it going in two large groups Nov 15 and mid dec. But you never know.
 
Hey everybody, check your status page. I just got accepted at TCOM!!!
 
Does anybody know if they update their my.unt.edu portal very often?

Haha, when I got into my SMP, I was pretty active on the post bac forums and for like 2 weeks, we mostly called each other by our SDN aliases :laugh:

But, yeah, my thinking is really getting me too, especially with our time on here. I hope we all do make it; it was really fun meeting everyone from SDN in person.

Thanks for the response Aggie08. I wouldn't worry about the 3rd time, but it's seriously the studying that gets to me more than anything.

EDIT - Wow, congrats everyone! I didn't get a change unfortunately. I guess we'll see tomorrow?

Thanks for the welcome! I've been reading this forum religiously ever since Prematch started rolling around. I've been on so much I feel like i know Flushot all my life (Best wishes and prayers for an acceptance for you buddy). After I saw my acceptance i knew i had to join the forum. I hope to see this forum bursting with acceptance...now time to get drunk!!

i appropriately had a glass of wine in my hand b4 i came on SDN tonite. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!

CONGRATS EVERYONE. WE'LL BE SEEING FACE TO FACE JULY 2008.
I'll be praying for those still pending.
 
Wow, congrats utjsm, dazed and Never! They're being pretty nice to SDN people; there's lot of good news on the RoT thread too.

Yeah, nothing has changed since 6 hours ago. I also invited a month after you guys so maybe there's a chance tomorrow will bring the good news.

Congrats again everyone...you'll love TCOM if that's where you end up.

So, post interview, is it just me and mlclonghorn that are left? I hope they hand out some more interviews soon to krismichelle and megan.

It was probably updated last night, but I didn't read SDN until I got to work this morning, which is when I checked my status page and found out the good news.

Good luck Flushot and mlclonghorn - I hope you both hear from TCOM soon! And I definitely hope that megan and krismichelle get interviews ASAP.
 
I hope so too...it's funny, because it's only been the first day but I already feel a bit down from the torrent of good news that's been rushing out of here and RoT. Maybe it's just me, but I don't want to rain on ya'lls parade. Congrats again and please hang around! I know a lot of people lurk and decided this was a good moment to post, but I hope people stick around to talk about next year.

My status still has not changed from "under review."
I am OOS, interviewed on 9/25.

For those with fresh acceptances... Did you interview before 9/25? Are you IS or OOS?

Yeah, I know MeFixYouUp has his info on his MDapps, but some of the others just posted the good news. Maybe we could get a point of reference for the neurotic premeds still waiting? 😉

I interviewed 9/16, IS. I know a few people who got in yesterday interviewed as early as July and August, so maybe they're running through the first few ones. There's still today, so maybe we'll all get the good news tonight.

I interview on October 7, actually two days before my dear grandmother passsed away. I knew she was reall sick but My family didn't tell me after the interview that not much time was left. God bless her soul. I think she's looking after me from above and pulled some string at TCOM.

For all those people who worry like me about your competitivness of your MCAT score, I got in with 7/10/10 (VR/BS/PS) 27Q. So MCAT definitely isn't everything.
 
Ive been reading this thread but haven't posted. I believe that they will make some offers pre-match but the majority will be made during match process. And that they are slow to the game to make offers around the 15th That is what I was told. The people who received acceptances already probably interviewed earlier - july/august. People who interview later will probably hear in a few days or week or so.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck to you all and try not to worry too much!
 
This isn't the first time or the 2nd time I've heard this, so I guess that's encouraging?

At any rate, it's way too early to call it, since the official match time hasn't even come down yet.

Thanks for sharing your info Skyliner. Terribly sorry about your grandmother. I would add more but I'm not sure what else to say...

I'm praying for us flushot! good luck to those waiting for interviews. and CONGRATS to those who have received acceptances!!!!! What an exciting time!!

I just found out I got in this morning!!

Good luck everyone and don't ever give up hope especially you flushot.

After screwing up in college it took me five years and three application cycles to finally get in any where.

Just for the record:

Interview: 8/1
Sci GPA: 3.47
Cum GPA: 3.49
It took me two years of post-bac work to get my GPA up this high.
MCAT: 31
PS: 11. VR: 9, BS: 11

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. My deepest sympathies. Was this this year? Or last year.

Haha, thanks for the friend invite mlc. I wish the friend system here worked a little better a la Facebook, but that's a little far off from now.

Wow, congrats on that 5 year struggle. It definitely shows that this isn't a race.
 
Yes, when i interviewed, the man who gave us the powerpoint presentation said that the pre-match offers would come out around the 22. Maybe he meant late interviewerw would get a pre-match around the 22. So don't worry if you have not received one.

Congrats to everyone receiving prematches!!

haha yeah, i have no idea how that works. i was just fiddling around and it said "friends" and said i had none and it was sad so i was like OOH! flushot could be my friend, lol.

and yes, 5 years... congrats, you deserve it.
 
TCOM called me a little while ago to tell me I had been accepted and I swear I didn’t know what to say for like 10 minutes. I have looked forward to this moment for a long time.

I wish I could say I would be celebrating tonight but I have to be at work at 7AM tomorrow. It sucks waking up early for work but that is over shadowed by getting in.

I hope all you are able to pre-match if not don't worry there is match which will free up a ton of seats. Even then there is a waitlist and I have seen people get accepted off of the wait list.

In the end it ain't over till the fat lady sings. 🙂
 
I have waited a long time to see this thread have some serious activity.....FINALLY 😀 Congrats to everyone that got in!!!! 👍
 
I know, it's been a tumbleweeds and crickets in here, so it's great that the good news hit.

Did you guys also hear from other DO schools?
 
congrats everyone... I'm still waiting on my interview, If I don't get one I'll be applying to their Medical science masters program. Anyone have info on that program? success rates?

I heard that about 60% or so people from that program get into a med school... but not sure... I think it's great. I'm planning on applying to that program, too.
 
I applied to it, but I didn't make it. It's a very good program that's viewed highly by all TX schools from what I hear. I don't know about specific numbers of their linkage rate, since they don't really promise anything when we asked them about it.
 
i think the office called me 2 times but i was getting my aggie ring at the moment. WHOOP!!!

so i didn't know i got in until tonight =D

-i interviewed 9/25 and my MCAT was 27R (not that great i know). so i'm just thanking God and everyone who prayed for me 🙂
