Facilities: Best I have seen so far, particularly with respect to the classrooms, small group rooms, digital content servers, anatomy labs and exercise facilities.
Students/Faculty/Staff: Kind, down-to-earth, social but not "socially elitist", intelligent but not "I need to cure cancer to feel like I've succeeded in life", BALANCED (student-practiced and school-fostered), ethical (religiosity welcomed but by NO MEANS required), compassionate and eager to help others... Just lovely, really. All of them, and I met MANY!
Grading: Requires demonstration of competence in all academic areas, but is NOT competitive. It's anti-competitive. You are encouraged to cooperate and help your classmates. It's not just rhetoric, as it is at many schools... the grading system is primarily pass/fail, with potential to earn "honors", but the grade distribution is not published for students OR other schools/residency programs. If you have a shady, individualistic disposition or world-view, this school is not for you.
Of course, it has short-comings like anything in this world. The first-year curriculum isn't primarily systems-based and I'd prefer a curriculum that was CENTERED around case-based learning... but other than that, this school is awesome... Freaking AWESOME!
If I could describe my impressions of the school in one sentence, it would be: "I'm confident that this is a place where, over four years, the goodness in my heart will be magnified and the selfish, unkind parts of me are sure to atrophy."
