It's been over 2 weeks since my status changed to "decision has been made and letter will be sent" for me. Haven't received a letter yet.

you should call and confirm your address. they sent mine to an address that im pretty sure wasnt even on my amcas.

Actually, got my letter today. They sent it to my temporary address which isn't valid anymore. I don't know why they would do that since I have a permanent address listed. Anyways, got waitlisted. Good luck to the rest of you who haven't heard back yet or still have interviews!

I interviewed on 1/8 and it took 10 days from when I got the letter sent status till I got the letter, although I do live in PA.
 
Did anyone here get any financial aid information yet?

haha, you people crack me up! stay positive-an interview in March is just as good as an interview in December. Go kick its butt and feel privileged that you got one in the first place!
 
those interviewed at the beginning of Feb, has ur status changed?
 
Interviewed 2/6, online status has been "Under review..." for something like two weeks now, but no decision reached yet.
 
I interviewed early October and just received my acceptance letter yesterday. There is no rhyme or reason to the delays so don't try to read into it.
 
I interviewed in the last week of January, my status changed to "decision made, a letter will be sent" on 2/19 or 2/20, now i'm waiting for that letter.... my stats are lower than the average so i'm not gettting too excited... good luck everyone!

When did your status changed ?. I interviewed the same week and still says 6-8 weeks message. Should I be worried ?
 
So I just checked mine and it says the same thing...final decision made, letter sent. Cool...I called today to ask when my status was changed and the nice lady said it was changed 'this week' and a lot of letters were sent out yesterday. So hopefully i'll be getting mine tomorrow or Saturday. I interviewed on the 26th of January, btw.

So I became complete in December, and my status finally changed to:

Thank you for your application. Your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season for a final decision.

So pretty much a rejection?

sorry, i wasnt really checking my status regularly for a couple of weeks after my interview, but i interviewed on january 28, at some point maybe about a week later it changed to "your app is with a committee member, no decision yet", then about a week later "your app is being reviewed by committee, no decision yet", then i checked a few days later on fri feb 20 and it said decision made, a letter will be sent"...

i dont think you should be worried, i'm not an expert by any means but from what everyone is saying, drexel is really random with their reviewing and decision making time. (e.g. BTC interviewed in october and just got letter now!) maybe your interviewer took a little longer writing you up and submitting to committee?? on my interview day they told us it would take about 6 weeks to hear back, so i think mine is just fast, because 6 weeks would be march 11. you can always call and ask too, it couldnt hurt...

anyway i'm still waiting for the decision letter, and according to other sdners i guess i shouldnt expect it until at least early next week? but like i said, my stats aren't so hot so i'm not too excited... good luck everyone!!!:luck:
 
Has anyone who has the "will re-evaluate" later in the cycle message on their status page, been offered an interview...trying to figure out my chances???

I'd second that motion, how much later in the season is there? It would help if the people in the office weren't so rude.
 
Questions: I will be interviewing on March 11 and just found out that there would be an essay due on the day of interview??? 😱😱 So I would like to have more details on this, such as topics, length requirement, time limit etc

Also, how would I know if my faculty interview is on campus or at some hospital??


Would appreciate some details on these 2 questions.... thanks :laugh:

They are interviewing at least until the end of April because my interview is 4/26. I was notified last week. There were no interview slots after 4/26 to choose from. However, there may be some slots opening up if people decide to cancel their interviews or if they decline their acceptances.

i think there are multiple essays but mine asked what i would do if i caught someone cheating on a class assignment or something along those lines.
you wont find out who is interviewing you until that morning and if its at hahnemann kelli kennedy will let you know

i was there on 1/28 as well, the guy with the broken wrist haha. congrats again, my status changed as well, hoping for some good news.. would be first acceptance!!

hey! yeah it was my first and only MD interview... i think i remember you... from CA right??? we were talking right before/after faculty interview?? i was saying how everyone i met there that day seemed so great... and i was kind of upset bc my interview was short and he didnt ask me anything except to talk about what was already on my amcas...

good luck, hopefully we will be classmates!!! and good luck to everyone still waiting!!

yea i was the guy from ca, really hoping for drexel i liked it alot.

njmed were you the one going back to downtown to see your gf? lots of 1/28 people on here, hope we can be classmates
 
Hi 1/28 guys!!! I'm the other girl from NJ with curly hair who was cracking jokes the whole time...haha the weather was AWFUL that day, and I missed my shuttle to Hahneman. Oops! So we're getting letters? I haven't checked my campus mail in a bit...sounds like a good incentive! Funny that so many of us are on SDN.

yay 1/28 FTW lol. i got my acceptance letter on 2/28. it was dated 2/20. i remember you, hellslibrarian! andddd i agree with wapwap, it would be really cool if we were all classmates 🙂
 
So I interviewed on 1/13, and I haven't heard back yet. Do you guys think it would be a good or bad idea to call them and ask them if they made a decision yet?

I want to go to this school, but I have a deposit due on 3/15 at another school that I got accepted in, and it's a D.O. school so the deposit is non-refundable. So, I have to find out before 3/15 whether or not I got accepted at Drexel.

don't really know about Drexel in particular, but I would call to see if a decision has been made and maybe state the situation. I don't think that it could do anything bad, unless it sounds like you're threatening them that they better accept you right at that moment

Hey I interviewed on Feb 2, anyone else hear anything from then? My status page hasn't changed either.

It says:

"Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel University."

hey guys i just got an interview invite! no email though, i just happened to check my status. just thought id let everyone know, so check your status!

can anyone enlighten me on drexel? i'm heasitant because i am not a fan of philly. but if there are people out there like me that really liked the school regardless, let me know!

I interviewed on Jan. 29, and got my decision today. Waitlist 🙁. Still waiting on that elusive first acceptance. Given this school's reputation with the waitlist though, I guess it'll probably have to be somewhere else. Gosh this process is demoralizing.

I interviewed on 1/28 and my status hasn't changed from interview appointment. Waiting is truly a beast.

perhaps i should have called the school after i hadnt received a decision 10 weeks after my interview day to show my interest in the schools decision

does anyone think this would have made a difference?

Nope! At best, the lady might have given u the company line "plz wait, we'r backed up blah blah blah" w/o ever looking up ur file/name.

If you were already accepted into those high rank programs and is not 100% sure of going to Drexel then why would you want to make it tedious for everyone? Also, you should have just given your interview spot to someone else who might need that spot to have a decent shoot at the school. I am sorry, I just think you are collecting acceptances like trophies.
