I too got the letter today and was waitlisted. Pretty bummed, any idea who this letter needs to be send to? Kinda ridiculous, they want us to do another.

Second week of September
Anyone know if they are sending out acceptances, or just waitlists and rejections? I interviewed on the 23rd and haven't heard back yet...![]()
No news = Good news (at least in this instance as it seems)

I was at Georgetown on September 18th, so almost 6 weeks here. I'm trying not to think about too much, no use in getting antsy over the unknown. Luckily, basketball begins on Wednesday.. the perfect distraction 😀I certainly hope so. I interviewed at GW and Georgetown within a week, and still haven't heard anything from either (GW was 6 weeks ago).

...just read that Georgetown (in the past) only accepts 1/3 of those it interviews 🙁
hey guys, I was complete end of august, and people in the middle of september have been hearing back..is it safe to say I will be getting rejected? I am thinking of sending an LoI because this is actually a school I am interested in.

The admissions coordinator blatantly told me to send a thank you letter to my interviewers.
I was going to send one anyways... but I felt that in a way, that is kind of a LOI.
i sent an email asking for the address for my interviewer, but no response yet. do you just send it to the office of admissions and address is to the interviewer?
i interviewed the week of sept. 14, and still no mail... i even walked home from work today during my lunch break ahaha. if they met october 16th, then they have made decision about us, right? how long does it take to write the same letters to everyone and send them in the mail? 😡
Patience, no news is good news👍
No news is good news, really?
they say they make a decision in about 6 weeks and it takes some time for them to notify you so he doesn't have anything to worry about right now. its still early so no news right now in most situations = good news because its better than getting rejected straight up.
Thank you!
All that has appeared on SDN from Georgetown is rejects and waits. If you haven't heard anything then you are in better shape than those that have been rejected or waitlisted so calm down.
Fellow Crb717, thank you for picking up what it was that I was laying down.

hey guys could u please give some ideas about what to write for my 2ndary? i know i will read their website for their "philosophy, curriculum, etc". but really i decided to apply there because u know washington is the capital. and some really decent women there straight out of college. i like college girls and those who have just finished college. i plan to finish the essay by tomorrow evening. thanks! this is like the last essay that i have to do.
First, Georgetown is sensative to their location (as far as i have heard). They like people who want to go to Georgetown, not live in DC. Secondly, if you are being serious about the girls then you are a sick **** and need help. That's serial killer ****.

what kind of tool are u? being fond of college girls and college grads <=25 makes u a serial killer? as for not mentioning that you like "washington for its museum, culture, blabla", thanks. but that makes the essay that much harder. i dont think their curriculum is unique at all. is it supposed to be strong on research? but there are many other schools that fit that criteria. is it even good on international medicine? even if it were, there are other schools that have that. so wtf do i write about?First, Georgetown is sensative to their location (as far as i have heard). i didnt say i would put that in an essay. i'm serious here. what do u think i am? it's irrelevant to the question that is being asked. and i AM grateful that someone said i shouldnt focus my essay on how i want to go to washington, rather than georgetown(though honestly i think there are better places than washington, it's just not too bad). but even if someone told me "why do u want to live in washington", i would have much to say...What's wrong with liking college girls? But, as far as putting it in an essay... sounds like a very bad idea.

there are many other reasons. whoever looked at your application might be in a bad mood or in a good mood... they might also like or dislike yr amcas statement, ec's, lor's. anyway, ive taken this into account. and ive made an outline about why i like their jesuit philosophy and how it is unique. but i really dont feel like writing right now. i mean if that school were to accept me, i would seriously consider it because DC is all right and they do have good residency placement. but how insulting is it to write a whole page about why u want to go to their school and not any other and then get a rejection and an offer to attend their jesuit SMP program for $40k.(and face it schools have pretty much the same theme about humanism and all that. they all have to adhere to aamc curriculum, even preceptorship courses are the same but just have different names)haha georgetown is seriosuly abt their location? well i just found out why i got rejected haha. i had a paragraph about living in DC> hahahah

😕
I always knew some people thought like that, but few actually put it out there for everyone to read...
Did you read what that kid wrote? Not only was it in complete sentence fragments with no capitalization, but it was downright disturbing. Tell me, did you apply to any scools thinking "Hmmm, I want to go there because I love college girls and that is really my main reason." This dude wants to be a physician?
He probably is a troll, I should be in question for feeding him, not for stating the fact that choosing a medical school on the age of the female populace is a bit disturbing.
