Hi, everyone. I have been lurking for a while, but I registered so I could share this with you.
I sent this via e-mail on Friday:
"Can you provide any indication when waitlist notifications will be made?"
and got this in response this morning:
".at this time we do not have a timeline but we have been informed that this is their priority and they are diligently on this issue
.thanks and have a great day!"
.
So there you have it, for what it may be worth.
I am in the same situation as many of you. I interviewed in October and felt good about the experience but have heard nothing since. I'm puzzled because my stats are strong - 38/3.7, bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering, a couple years of work experience, good ECs. I am weaker on shadowing and med-related volunteer experience than many of you because I didn't start doing it until after I figured out I wanted to change careers and quit my engineering job to go back to school and take the required chem and bio courses. Literally everyone I talked to thought I would have no trouble getting in at UAB, but now I am afraid I won't even manage to snag one of the last seats in the class. I really want to go there b/c (aside from the quality of education and reputation of the school) my wife and I already own a home in the area, and she really loves her job here. I got my acceptance from USA less than 2 weeks after the interview. I'm dying to know what they see in me that UAB doesn't.

Anyway, thought you all might like to know that the adcom is ".diligently on this issue".. [Sigh]
