Anyone get the acknowledgement e-mail and the secondary e-mail more than a couple days apart? I got just the first e-mail yesterday (same day I was verified). Most people I've talked to received both at nearly the same time. And I got both e-mails from UC Davis at the same time. I hope I wasn't screened out.

Don't despair, they received my primary on 7/1 and I just got the secondary invite last night.

This sucks. It's been four weeks since they received my app and I've heard nothing. I almost want to send an e-mail, but I'm sure that's a terrible idea.

I'm on the same boat. My AMCAS went out in the first batch for sure, but no word.

So, I just decided to give UCSF a shot since I don't want to wonder "what if" for the rest of my life. This is my absolute #1 choice, but I feel like there's a small chance that I'll even been considered.

Lets see how far behind I am in this process. Hopefully this isn't TOO late.

your not even close to being late, they havnt even reviewed all the apps they got on like 7/1 it seems. Late isnt in july...😛. UCSF is everyones number one choice lol

OOS just got secondary too. received confirmation of amcas on the 13 or 14th. think OOS primaries are just getting reviewed.

I was verified 6/12, so my primary was sent out in the first batch.

Good luck guys!!!! UCSF is an awesome school....

Just know that if you do get an interview from there on you have almost a 50% chance of being accepted.

I interviewed there, but eventually was rejected after being placed on the High Priority List...nevertheless, I still love that school.

YAY me too! I'm OOS, UCSF sent the first acknowledgement email to me 7/7. I got the secondary last night at 9:30 PM California time. (Not sure if the adcom is still working at that time, or if it was computerized...seems kind of late for people to still be at work, lol)

dont think any rejections yet, doubt those will be sent out for at least another month or so since they said expect a responce within 12 weeks...and we are only 4 weeks into their process.

Nope. Mine still says secondary received only and I submitted like two weeks ago...maybe they're just really swamped? It does say to give them six weeks

Yeah, I'm not worrying about it now, but my other UC apps have gotten completed though I submitted them after UCSF, so I just wanted to check. Waiting's always the hardest part!

I'm totally with you on that one! I've just been trying to concentrate on other secondaries so that I wouldn't have to think about it so much...time really seems to fly when you look at the date and realize that a couple of days have gone by and you still haven't finished another secondary yet

As for people that sent their letters as a letter packet to AMCAS, what are you putting in the letters of recommendation section for names?

was there ever an answer to this? I have a letter packet, but I want to know if I have to list out the names of each letter writer in it.

To answer several questions I saw...No, the statement of intent is actually the secondary itself. It's a bunch of boxes you need to check and fill--yes I still want to be considered for admissions, yes I want to apply to X program (MD-only, JMP, MSTP), yes I've enclosed my fee, yes I'm sending my letters...etc. Relax, there's no mendatory essays.

The supplemental list is optional. I didn't fill it out when I applied.

Regarding the letter packet, I would write out the names of individual letter writer, so they know what to expect when they receive the packet.

I got verified on 7/7 and a secondary invite on 7/29. If you look earlier in the thread someone talked about hoe for UCSF you have to have certain stats to get it automatically and everyone else has to earn there way out of the rejections pile. Since my stats aren't amazing, I'm assuming that is what happened with me.

if you're applying to any "special" UCSF programs, this is probably the easiest UC secondary to complete! don't lose hope!
