Really, 6 days? For the Boca campus? It has been a couple weeks. I guess I will kepp on compulsively checking my empty email inbox, phone and mail.

i interviewed in mid october and my interviewer said that i should hear back from them before october is done. there was a guy on SDN that heard back 6 days after his interview!

I was down there Oct 15 and 16. They said we would be getting phone calls on the 28th if we were accepted.

I thought it went well, but who knows. All I can say was both programs were amazing and the students looked so happy. They really made me feel like I was totally capable of surviving and so much hands on experience!

Going to be praying a lot this next week!

I would suggest a hotel near Mizner Park. It's really the only "downtown" area that Boca has. I don't know what specific hotels are in that area, but that's my 2 cents.

There's an orientation from 9-10, and then a faculty interview at either 10:00 or 11:00. If you're not interviewing, you're on a campus tour. After that, you get some free food and a Q&A with the med students, and then you're free to go to South Beach and soak up some sun.

I just talked to Agnes Murphy at the Miami campus. There is a meeting tonight with the adcom and phone calls should be going out tonight.

I'm not 100% sure about the Boca campus, but I think they're part of the same admissions committee and will be a part of that group (don't quote me on that).

Now I'm nervous...

Congrats! Were you at the Miami campus on the 9th? If so, we interviewed the same day!

I'm on the alternate list at both schools. I'm so pissed about it. My inteview at the Miami campus went awesome and I felt like I was a perfect fit for th school. They also told us that since we were interviewing so early and accept a high amount of their interviees, there would be an awesome chance for us to get it. I though I had this one for sure 🙁

I personally prefer the Boca campuses except for its location.. *sigh. Oh well, we have a few months to figure it out! Congrats!

So I read a few old forums and I also spoke with the admissions office. Apparently they do not revisit the alternate list for another several months. In previous years people got off starting in Feb to May. So sadly they won't be reconsidering it for a while since it's so early in the interviewing process.
However, in the past a lot of people that ended up being a part of the class were from the alternate list. I think two years ago 60 something out of 120 something were off of the alternate list at the main campus according to an old forum.
I also saw that last year they interviewed about 500 and around 75% of them got accepted (either straight acceptance, or via alternate list)
I'd say we still have a good chance if we continue to show interest and call them every now and then to show concern.

Im a FL resident but I go to school up north. I will be in the state early december on another interview. Does anyone think this school frowns on an in the area email, because I really can't afford to fly down here again.

How long is it taking everyone to hear back post-interview? I interviewed Friday and I could have sworn they said 4-6 weeks but it seems like people are hearing sooner.

I think they meet once a month or so, so it kinda depends on how close your interview is to the adcom meeting. I think the next round of decisions go out in early December, a little less than a month out.

What? They said during the interview day that meet every other Wednesday. The first was 10/14, the next was 10/28. With Veterans' Day coming up, they'll probably skip a week, so it's very likely the next meeting is 11/18. I'm sure if you called and asked, they'd tell you when they were next meeting.

33% of those who interview matriculate. acceptance must be a tad higher than that.
