Looks like above a 30 mcat and around 3.75 will get you that first round interview. Does anyone know if they will continually send out invites or will they come in waves?
First round implies October 21st and 22nd. They also get a choice to push back to January. Second Round will be November dates. Probably when I will get mine (I hope!!!) Third round will begin in January.
Just thought I'd post that the interview dates this cycle are Oct 21, 22, Nov 17, 19, 20, Jan 7,8,14,15 and Feb 4,5.
I'll shoot for the 17th if the miraculous october date isn't offered
Haven't all of the October interview invites been sent out?
I didn't get my final supplemental data in until 9-30-2009. (*slap my head in shame)
My MCAT is a 31 and
my total GPA is 3.7, my science GPA is a 3.86 (higher than my total gpa)
It appears that I turned my stuff in too late to be considered for a first round interview. My question is how much damage did I do to myself to be considered for a second round inteview in November?
Also I dont know how to calculate my interview score.
Just one, did you get a first round interview? I'm rooting for all of us here to get one soon!
Nope, I suck
I had a 3.0 GPA from an associates degree ten years ago, when factored in with my 3.93 in 110 hours over the last three years it's only a 3.56 (3.87 science)
Also I dont know how to calculate my interview score.
I am not an expert or anything but I have talked to people who have gotten into OU with sub 9 mcat scores. For you I think it will depend a lot of how much they will way your vastly improved recent undergrad work compared to your old college work. If they their logic works like mine I would at least give you a de facto 3.7...but of course you never know.28 (9-ps, 9-vr, 10-bs)
I've been thinking, which usually gets me in trouble but hear goes. OU interviews 280 ish applicants for 162 spots. So since the interview number is fairly constant along with the matriculant numbers, I m guessing that around 15-25 people turn down OU, so by these figures 180 out of 280 interviewees get accepted. Sounds like pretty decent odds.

Obviously non GPA/MCAT factors also go into play....Volunteer experience, interview...etc.
I am sure I am telling you stuff that you already know.
Yeah, I know a guy who got in w/ a 24 and 3.4....i mean, if he GOT IN, then he got an interview too obviously haha, so I'm sure 24 and above will get an interview. Patience is a virtue, I guess..
I just realized that I could have gone home 5 seconds into the Biological Sciences section of my MCAT, not answer a single question on the BS, and still get a 25. 😱
If you don't need the points, I'll take them. 😉
WOMP...you must have made a good MCAT score. Is there is a reason you didnt get a first round interview?Heh, it'll do you no good though, I'm still hoping for a 2nd round interview.

It would have to be because you're OOS, but I would think that since your from Oklahoma that would be quite helpful in the state ties department! Just be sure not to mention that your GPA is low because of a tough school at your interview, I hear that is a big no no!
Managed to pull a 34Q on the September 10 MCAT. I got a waitlist last year with my 3.1 overall/2.9 Science/30Q MCAT, so hopefully this additional 4 points will help me get a spot for real this time around.
I don't think this years class will be any bigger, but in the next few years they are going to increase it to 200.Any news of a possible class size being raised? Heard a rumor but have no real source
