Congrats on the acceptances so far!! 👍

I interviewed here a few weeks ago and i am anxiously waiting for a decision. Definitely my top choice. Absolutely adore this school, can't say enough good things about it.

Thanks UR med students for being awesome and so welcoming during the interview!

Same here, and we actually interviewed the same day. Maybe they were tougher on the 24th than usual? Haha, or maybe not... Man am I bummed
 
I'm sure we met during the day, but i guess now we've got some time to kill until 'late spring or early summer.' Good luck!

Waitlisted today as well. Anybody have any info on how the list moves?
 
I just looked through last year's Rochester thread.. apparently there were over 300 applicants waitlisted and there was very little waitlist movement. This probably varies year to year, though.
 
Someone asked at my interview how many ppl they typically accept off the waitlist and the admissions person said approx 30-40 get off the waitlist each year.

It should be on your status page. On the lower part of the webpage, you should see "Interview Scheduling". Follow the link.
 
Do you guys think that there is still a chance that those of us that have been complete since late June or early July still have a chance of getting an inivte if we haven't gotten one yet? I feel that my status now should read "Application complete - your rejection will arrive by Jan. 15th" heh 😳

This may answer you, I was complete 9/4 and got an invite today. I guess like someone said earlier they don't review apps sequentially. Don't lose hope though...

👍 Thanks! That does help a bit but I'm still finding it so hard to believe that they haven't yet made a decision or even come across my application 4 months after I was complete. But I guess I just gotta hold on and see.:xf::xf:

Keep the faith, never despair!!! U are in the game, until you hear otherwise, so remain hopeful!!

Same boat here. It's too bad, I think I would have liked this school...
 
Don't worry just yet, guys... I was complete in August and didn't receive an invite till the last day in November... there's still hope!

When people come for interviews, let me know so I can come meet you!

i'll pick u up on the offer, if I don't freeze first, I'm coming in January.. I haven't seen snow in ages!!
 
Does anybody know when the committee meets? I interviewed mid-Oct and I'm just curious as to when I might hear something from the school...
 
Oh and I absolutely LOVED it here, top choice for sure...congrats to all who already have acceptances!

Yep, the status page says accepted. Sadly I didn't catch the name of the person who called because I was in a very loud place grabbing lunch, but I heard enough of what they said to know what was happening!

And yeah, I am a bit surprised, it's only been 3 weeks for me, so some reviewers might be quick! I had a really good interview experience so I'm pumped.
 
same here. interviewed mid october, got accepted by email and status page...and possibly voicemail TODAY. the voicemail message asks that I call them back....hoping that isn't to find out that they had a system glitch and I'm actually not accepted.
 
so I was complete 7/23 and haven't heard anything from Rochester. My stats are slightly lower than the average here but I am from the area and currently work at Rochester. Does Rochester normally take a long time to review applications or does it make sense that since my stats are lower they are holding off on me?

Did those of you who had interviews get email notifications, or just find out via status page? (because I thought the status page's final message was "application complete")

I got the 'complete' email from rochester on 9/3 and got an interview invite email on 10/6.

I got an email saying i had an interview invite, and then when i went to my status page it said "invite"
 
So what are the post-interview possibilities for Rochester? I interviewed 10/2, sounds like people who interviewed mid October are getting acceptances.

How long does the wait list email take? Are rejections by snail mail? My status page still says invite, does it stay that way for Waitlists and Rejections?

The fact that I need to ask these questions on a message board underscores the many problems with this process.

It may be that the person who interviewed you was too busy to go to the adcom meeting and that is why others who have interviewed later have heard?

Just a guess as I know this happens. I wouldn't worry too much yet. Annoying process... I hear ya.

Just got rejected by snail mail. Interviewed late Oct. My status still says invite and it will remain so. Good luck.
 
just got rejected preinterview by email 1st rejection 🙁

First rejection, pre-interview... shame, they looked awesome and I have a good friend in their nursing program. Oh, well.

Wonder why it took them so long, though, I was complete in July...
 
I thought I had a good shot....but rejected as well pre-interview...hm..🙁
