Is anyone else waiting to hear back this week about interview/non-interview? It is killing me..... they say "a decision will be made by 1/15." I am hoping beyond hope that this is not code for "At 11:45PM on Thursday, 1/14, you will receive a rejection...stay tuned."
 
yeah! for real! I would like to think they were considering me; but, given my past "success"..doubtful.
 
where is my rejection then lol why are they doing this to us!!!! At least you guys have heard something I know my rejection is coming just why am I not getting it along with you guys 🙁

accepted on the status page today. I-12/10 A-1/13. so grateful, what an awesome school!

I'm not totally sure. USC impressed me quite a bit today, but I'm just going to wait until I see what kind of offers I get and go from there I suppose. But its definitely in my top 2-3.

hey man i dont remember when i was marked complete at all honestly and im not by my excel spreadsheet. however, it is the 15th so where is my rejection e-mail!?!? Its 10:30 already geez o petes! lol
 
well i finally heard back and im on extended hold! with possibiltiy to interview in april for their post-bac program! guess its not a flat out rejection! ah well life continues
 
Does anyone know around what time (month) Rochester transitions from interviewing applicants for "seats" VS "waitlist spots"?

Just received my waitlist via email. Interviewed mid-December.
 
Maybe the review applications randomly post-interview, just like they do pre-interview? Or maybe my application was so clearly a no-go that they didn't need to spend much time on it!
 
Or they mailed out my rejection letter already...

Do they do online status changes before rejection letters?

To my understanding, Rochester do not interview people specifically for WL spots. Check the threads from previous years, and you will find people interviewed late in the season and still got straight acceptance.
 
Sorry about the waitlists guys. I was particularly rooting for you, MBH, so that you would give up your spot at NYMC and I could take it! 🙂
 
Do any cell phone providers give prohibitively bad service in the U of R Hospital / Classroom / Labs / Downtown Rochester areas?

A lot of people here love Verizon. My friends w/ Verizon often get service within the school in lecture halls. I have AT&T which is the 2nd most popular. I get good service around town and in parts of the school.

If you want some good info about things like phones and a bunch of other random things, you may want to read our Blue Book. Every few years this student written "book" gets updated with things like phone providers, things to do in Rochester, tips for incoming 1st years, etc. My class and I updated it this summer. Just scroll to the bottom of the page and the link for it is there.

As for those of you that got the WL, keep your spirits up! There is definitely still a chance! Just keep letting the admissions office know that you love it here!

I'm a Rochester undergrad with T-mobile. I get no service anywhere in the hospital or in lectures halls/many buildings on the undergrad campus, except maybe if I am standing with my phone to a window. I don't recommend this here, but I do see Verizon do quite well.
 
so... I was interviewed on 1/8... I wasn't expecting any news until early February, but I figured I could check the website... and it says Accepted. I am very excited, but at the same time, I'm worried that it's a mistake!!! Too bad the office is closed already... 🙁

haha I got really excited when I read this because I interviewed 1/11 so I thought maybe my status might say something. But it still says invite. 🙁

Congrats though! 🙂 You didn't get an e-mail/letter or anything?
 
nope! no email or letter... that's why i was worried about it being a mistake...


my phone's been off the entire day cuz my batter was dying, and I didn't want to hear the annoying sound it makes when it's dying... i just checked my voicemail and i got a call from rochester. she didn't say whether i got accepted or not, but wanted me to call her back. i guess i'll do that tomorrow 🙂

so i did get accepted to rochester. a HUGE relief!!! I loved Rochester too! I wish you the best of luck!! 🙂

i doubt it...the admissions committee meets every 2nd and 3rd Tues of the month. BTWs I also interviewed the 11th
