Interview invite tonight! So excited!! (7 pm PT on a Sunday?)

Got the "Thank You for Submitting" on 9/20 and letters were marked complete 9/24. Interview date I was given was early Jan.

ditto here. my first thought was whoa - that's some serious overtime work! submitted mid-august. nyc in january will be cold =p although it won't be colder compared to where i am, haha. : )

so excited about this interview! =D

They told the 11/16 interviewees that we'd be hearing from them before Christmas.

Oh yea! I forgot to post this email I got from the admissions office on 11/12. I asked when they'll be sending out decisions and if they would be sent via email.

They said, "You will be informed by email in a couple of weeks." So we probably won't see anything tomorrow either.

Ok..so by the end of next week, we'll hear back?? hopefully before thanksgiving?

I'm not letting my hopes take on that level of precision, but it would definitely be nice to hear before Thanksgiving. Someone else 😉 should call them to see if the committee has met yet.

I emailed admissions a couple days ago and they said an email would be released by the end of this week! so it's definitely before thanksgiving!

that would suck if end of the week means like saturday at midnight. or even sunday for those that consider sunday still part of the prior week....

Yea I'm predicting Monday-Tuesday next week. I'm not sure why they would say "end of this week" on a Thursday and not follow through (why not give themselves some leeway and say 1-2 weeks).

Waitlisted...wtf the start of the email was "We are pleased to inform you.." I thought that meant acceptance.

Seems to be a trend a Sinai "Congratulations! on submitting your application..." Lol

definitely may 15th. Sinai has a pretty active waitlist as well....so don't lose all hope.

I was waitlisted, it absolutely sucks! Be sure to update them with your interest and new developments. I sent them two letters of interest before I was accepted. good luck!


Also, I'd get rid of those comments on your MDapps if I were you. I'm not on the admission committee but if I was, your profile is a dead give away and to see what you wrote about every program may or may not affect my subconscious opinion. You are absolutely entitled to have your thoughts on what programs you feel like you'd be a better fit but I recommend keeping them to yourself and close friends for now.

hopefully....

but at this point, I'm just happy I got into one place. I was deferred/waitlisted/placed on continued list at 7 different schools before I got Mount Sinai....so I was starting to freak out.

I also received the Saturday acceptance !! Very exciting. I love this school's emphasis on service ! And the couples housing certainly doesn't hurt 🙂

Did anyone here receive any indication that their application was complete? I submitted months ago, received an email telling me that I submitted, but nothing that said I was considered complete. I also don't have any status on the status check page (including for LORs, but looks like this is the norm?). Should I have received any sort of indication via email or on the status page that I'm complete?
