Looking at the previous threads its seems that the majority of acceptances occur in the first week of may....heres hoping
and heres to trying to focus on something else in the meantime..

Not weird at all, because I feel the same (or maybe I'm weird too).
Also, MCW is completely done with interviews, so it would be nice to at least get a notification or something by now.

😉 Exactly! I know these are rejections, I just want to hear it officially! I guess I need some closure
.For people that have been accepted, did you get a package in the mail? I was accepted a few weeks ago (they have acknowledged my deposit and everything), but I still haven't gotten anything in the mail. Is this normal?

This happened to me. I waited 2 weeks and then called them. "Administrative issues," apparently (they forgot). Nothing cool comes in the mail...just the stuff that's on the website. If they acknowledged your deposit, don't worry.

Has anyone talked to the Financial Adviser at UVM?
I sent him an email (after getting his info from the main financial aid office) but he never responded. I'm hoping to have a phone meeting with him some time before school starts to get some advice on how to budget based on the rather small amount of loans we get for living expenses!

Im so excited! I almost want to send another letter of intent today, even though I just sent one after being waitlisted last month (after the last adcom meeting)... Thoughts? Should I? Does it sound like I am bombarding them? It has been 2 weeks.

I'm in the exact same boat as you actually. I sent in a letter of intent the same day I was waitlisted (April 15th) and they confirmed they received it on April 18th (April 15th was a Friday, so I figured they wouldn't receive it until that Monday anyway). Today marks 2 weeks since then.
Do any current med students there with more knowledge on the subject know if its worth sending in a second letter asap before tomorrow's meeting? Like Noshie, I'm afraid I'd be bombarding them with letters too early on 😳

I just got in. ahhhh! I'm absolutely going. Just received an email. Ah. Holy crap. So excited about the school. Best wishes to all on finding a place that's a good fit for you. I interviewed March 29, OOS waitlisted on April 15th. I emailed one letter of interest immediately after my interview, then emailed a brief letter of intent after I got waitlisted. Really my top choice school. I'm sure there will be a bunch of movement after the 15th, I'm pulling for you all.

To be fair, It doesn't seem quite as compelling when people who haven't posted their stats ask for those of others, especially since legions of people are embarrassed enough, even after entering medical school, never to tell anyone.

question to all of us who are still waiting to hear whether we are weight-listed or rejected. for who who did hear, how far after the admissions committee meeting did you have to wait for your status to be updated? i interviewed on the 21st of april, and they are deliberating tomorrow at their last admissions committee meeting about us (which is freightening to say the least). they said they will update the portal afterward. how long did you guys wait before they updated your portal?

It was the Thursday afterward when the portal said something about your status changing soon, then the next day and Saturday had actual decisions posted for many.

Anyone from April 21st Interview hear anything yet? They said something about looking on the portal after May 3rd, but it hasn't changed for me yet.
They said they were meeting on the 3rd and we should hear by Friday (the 6th).

You shouldn't be upset. If you're oos that's the best you can get. No outright acceptances for oos-ers. Congrats! Welcome to the wait!🙂

I wonder that myself. Really I don't know how good it is to be on the oos waitlist. But at least it's something right?
I couldn't comment that that's what everyone's says, but that's what mine says. I doubt there are multiple versions.

So, based on recent patterns, Vermont is only sending out acceptance emails on Mondays? That's what it seems like, but I could be wrong.
