Posted today. The message says "just accepted." Sorry I don't have anything more specific.

Don't lose hope. There are definitely people in the group that are 1) older students, and 2) waiting on other schools.... it's not over until it's over.

Ya... definitely echo that. There's still time though, and I think last year's SDN there weren't any SDN acceptances until July, then there were a significant number. I believe UVM is known historically for late movement. Who knows. At any rate, I can't emphasize enough the unreliability of gauging things by the facebook group (not talking to you CellMaster). UVM, like every other school, is obviously not pulling people off the wait list until people drop and they have space. If they did differently it would be very much to their disadvantage. It doesn't matter what their facebook group says, their class is full. Doesn't mean it won't become non-full tomorrow, or even later today.

There was barely any movement last year. I was on the WL. Not expecting to get in this year, either, based on last summer. But you never know.

Boo. Thanks for the info. And let us know if you speak to admissions and get a feeling on how much movement they're having (saw that you earlier posted a 2-4 per month vs 2-4 per week historical movement).

I think I have about a 0% chance of getting in. I interviewed in consecutive years, was waitlisted again. I don't think they're interested in me anymore.

2011 cycle was less than ideal - I was only able to apply to about 6 or 7 schools. My MCAT was from 2008 - expired for most schools. I wasn't able to re-take it last year due to some serious (and expensive) health problems. Kind of screwed up my plans.

Got 2 interviews. Waitlisted here, as well as the other. Not bad considering I wasn't playing with a full deck - but very disappointing.

I got accepted here two years ago in July. My anatomy lab partner was accepted three days before orientation. Don't give up hope, keep emailing & calling.

I told my interviewers that UVM is my #1 both years... called, wrote about 6 or 7 letters last year.. This year same. What else do they want to know? 🙂

I'm pretty sure they don't like me 🙂

Nah, UVM likes you TOO MUCH. But she has commitment issues and wants to mess around with other students for a while...
 
According to admissions there has been lots of movement since May 15th...just none here. 🙁
 
Ya that's pretty crazy that not a single person on SDN has reported being accepted since May 15th. Do you guys think our chances of getting in are probably less than 1% this late in the game now?

I just got accepted off the waitlist at another school so I will most likely be withdrawing my acceptance here. Hopefully one of you guys get it.
 
Is it common for people to be dropping their spots around this time/in July? I remember last year's thread mentioned people getting in during the month of July, but I don't remember the details lol. Let's hope more than 2 people dropped... We could definitely use more movement.

I think I recall last years SDN having only one or two posted waitlist acceptances after May 15, then once July hit there were several. Let's hope that trend continues!

its kind of hard to believe not a single person got in on here since may 15th....can the frequent lurkers please post if you got in or know someone that did? i just need some hope 🙄
 
I called admissions... Got the same generic answer regarding the waitlist and how it is impossible to predict the movement, etc. Ah well. There really isn't much else we can do but wait lol. Their class is most likely filled by now, and it's a matter of waiting for people to drop their spots. That's just my thought on it anyway.
 
Lol i feel bad for calling them every other week- i wouldn't be surprised if they just think im annoying at this point. The lady i talked to once hinted to me about being annoyed with people who call every week.🙁 How often do you guys call? I wish there was something more we could be doing....im just out of ideas beyond the calls and letter of interest.

That's all we can do. Call and send in letters. I also heard something about them being annoyed by people who call every week. The woman I spoke to hinted at it-- I mentioned I wasn't sure how often I should be calling and she said that I was fine (this was my first call) but that there are others who call every week, some even every other day, which annoys them somewhat.

Did anyone ask if the class is full when they called? I forgot to ask that unfortunately 😳

I think it's safe to say the class is full. We are just waiting for people to withdraw to grab their spots.
 
yeah every school is pretty much full or at least by May 15 they were full. I believe right now, everyone who is on WL is just vying for a spot that has been withdrawn due to the accepted applicant accepting another spot at a school which they were possibly WL at.
 
I signed on to the online applicant center to see how to go about withdrawing from the waitlist and read some interesting dates. "We will complete our interview and review process by the end of April 2012" and "Our waitlist season is open until the first day of orientation in August 2012". Here I thought I was waiting for a spot for August 2011! I'm pretty sure this is a typo, right?

They probably just updated the entire system for the next year's entering class. So yeah, it would not apply for you.
 
Hey catsym, did u end up withdrawing from UVM? Headed to ur state school?
 
So how many people do you guys think are still on the waitlist? My guess is somewhere around 150.

Really? More than that? They do reject people after the interview, right? Or is everyone not accepted put on waitlist?
 
really? more than 150? thats a scary thought...
they interview 550, im guessing accept at least 250, reject at least 100? wouldn't that leave the possibility of only 200 being waitlisted? but im sure a lot of people withdrew cuz they got accepted to state schools and such?
however these numbers are pretty much just my own guesstimates :/

Hmm yeah I mean there are probably a lot of people on the waitlist just like other schools. I don't expect much WL movement at all for most schools 🙁. But we never know, maybe it'll happen in July. It seems like WL movement this year has been minimal unless SDNers don't want to say much.
