This is all making me nervous. I was contacted last week about getting more info for the review of my application. I took this as a positive thing (my app was not thrown out) but it's been some time and there is still no decision. I'm wondering if I got thrown back into the pile after the initial review.

What sort of additional information was asked for?

Also complete 8/1...have heard nothing from UP. I'm starting to have dreams about checking iApply

Got the student host email .Thanks!

Can anyone comment on how student hosting for the CP works? I got an email today with links to hosts for the night before my UP interview, but it's made clear that this is just for that night, and not the night before my CP interview (doing the two interviews back to back: CP then UP). I have relatives I could stay with if necessary, but it would be nice if there were CP hosts to stay with.

I'm from Cleveland and my parents house (where I grew up) is about a 15/20 minute drive away. I am planning on staying with them for the weekend and my interview is on Monday. Do you guys think thats a bad idea? its so convenient to go "home" for the interview, but maybe I should stay with a student anyways for the experience?

Sweet. Good to know. 😉

Haha, take your time. Real life does take precedence over SDN. 😀

Just filled out my request for a student host! I love how organized and efficient they make everything 🙂

FOUND:
Babinski head
Weathered, but usable hammer head, some scars from previous early morning dueling battles? Found on sidewalk near South P. Lot of Cleveland Clinic. Possibly escaped Kung-Fu grip of original master while running to clinic? Rubber is drying out, but all-in-all a sturdy specimen.

Since I have tried unsuccessfully to locate original owner, will now go to the highest ransom...er...BID

Congratulations!

It's definitely not a bad idea. The biggest perk of having a student host would be the opportunity to talk to a current student and learn more about the school. It should not be used as an assessment tool, so don't worry about being disadvantaged in this process if you don't stay with a student host. You might be more comfortable/get better sleep at your parents' place, and the interview day has lots of chances for you to ask questions anyway.

The short answer is that it really won't matter either way so just pick which you actually do prefer. 🙂

Links in the e-mail should be fixed later today. Let me know if you have continued trouble.

My links still do not seem to work. Would anyone be willing to post or message me the working links?

CP is similar: A list of potential student hosts will be offered shortly. Note that hosts for either program may be busy other nights. Therefore, while I think it is important to let them know you will be in town, do not expect them to be able/willing to host for both nights. If they offer GREAT! But...also don't assume them to be able to answer questions about the other program - or even able/willing to get you to your other interview on time! 🙁 (Second point is important - I'd hate for you to be late to an interview)

Solution? Many people stay with two hosts, which also affords more time to have 1-on-1 with students from both programs.

Either way may work out for you, there is no right or wrong answer.

+1 with what Fluffy said. This will not impact your consideration to Case. Do what is best for you, personally.

Interview invite to both programs! Very excited! Any advice for the interviews?

Got an interview invite for university track at 8:00 pm this evening! I was complete 7/29. So excited!!! Anyone else interviewing on Oct. 3?

My solution when I applied was to find two hosts who were roommates, one was from CCLCM, and the other from the UP.

Rejection by UP, no news from CP. Probably rejection as well.

I received an interview to the UP program. I'm interviewing on Oct. 10th because I couldn't make any of the previous dates. I was complete on July 29th. So.. don't worry it seems as if the process has slowed down a bit relative to the very beginning.

I was complete Aug. 1 but no feedback yet... This silence is maddening!!!

Sorry if this is answered before, but while i was fulling the Case app for UP and CCLCM,
I noticed that there were the Greatest Challenge, Optional scholarly, small group, area of improvement, and criticism and feedback essays, but i didn't see a CCLCM specific research essay? did i mess up somewhere?

Nope - the one research essay is for both the UP and CP - there's not specific ones for each program.

The essay prompts are posted on the first page of this thread, so just check to make sure you have all of those.

This...

And in the not to be believed category, the girl next door comes over and says she has something for me. " Oh really?" 😍 Then she hands me.....an eggplant from her garden!😱 "Oh...um....wow...um..thanks!" Sooooooo hard not to burst out laughing! Ok, but now I have to report back on how I liked it. What do I do with it? Boil? Fry? Microwave with ketchup?

Or maybe I should stop by, give her a bottle of wine, and fess up that I have no clue and see if we could work on it together? Geez the idea that I'll be eating eggplant on purpose is almost beyond belief for me!

Note to applicants- besides all of the medical stuff, Case students are also experts in all things eggplantish!😉

I vote the second option 👍

Rejected from CP tonight by iApply status... I guess I didn't improve enough over my last app to get another interview...

This one will probably be the one that hurts the most

I am very confused about the research question.

* scratches head *

.Research Essay:.
.(Required for all applicants).
.Please describe the hypothesis of your research, why the methods were selected to answer that hypothesis, your results and interpretation of your results with respect to future findings..

What does the highlighted part mean?

I would understand the question if it asked us about the
"interpretation of results with respect to future studies."

This makes sense. I find that cancer is prevented by fruit, and then the next scientist asks "Which fruit?" or "What compounds in fruit?"

But I don't really get the question the way it is asked.

What are they asking?
