Yea I was originally thinking Friday, but with acceptances going out today I'm not so sure. Would be nice to know before spring break
 
when does the waitlist come out usually? when it does it immediately tells us wat tier we are on right?
 
Would you be kind enough to post your stats. I did not even get an interview which makes it so frustrating.

From previous years, first week of April. I would assume the email informing someone of being waitlisted would also include their tier

IS 3.2 overall, 33 mcat but if you take highest subscores it is a 35. I interviewed back in november

Good Luck to you and you absolutely deserve to get in. Great score and I have a feeling you will get in.
 
Does anyone know around how many acceptances are given out between end of interviews (tomorrow) and the waitlist? A better way to rephrase this question might be, does anyone know how many "slots" or acceptances are currently being held?

Your guess is as good as mine. I would keep in mind though that there always seems to be good movement from the alternate list to accepted, so they may accept fairly conservatively right now. Idk

I just got accepted yesterday (3/07) around noon. Interviewed back in Sept. I'm an instate applicant. Hope this helps!
 
they are spreading the good news through email right?
 
Not yet...I'm thinking the other day may have been the "final acceptances" but I really hope not.
 
Does anyone know if there will be more acceptances before the waitlist comes out?
 
Alternate list is out!! Middle third! Not sure how to feel about it tho...

Same here! Just got the e-mail! Middle Third as well. Does anyone know the chances of acceptance from the middle tear or the likely dates? I know that they seem to be on an earlier schedule than last year.

Orange Juice I haven't heard anything either...I'm not sure what it means...just hang in there! Hopefully we won't have to wait all weekend to know something.

middle third too here... i remember like a couple of years ago they went all the way down to lower third but still, i am like grrr lol
 
Hey, I have been watching this forum for months and I finally decided to post. I got my email too upper third. I know some people that didn't hear anything. Is that bad news?

I interviewed February 16. I'm an instate reapplicant if that helps any. Have yall checked the secondary application status page (I'm sure you have..)?

Interviewed September 22, status says alternate-upper third. Know someone that still hasn't heard, have no idea what that means.
 
anybody know how many middle tier folks have been accepted historically? like 1/2 2/3 or 3/4
 
Middle third...interviewed 10/6. I have heard that they almost always accept the upper third and usually get partially through the middle third.
 
campus choices received.

interviewed in september, or november, can't remember which. thinking no ranking and no acceptance is not a good thing...
 
Upper third. Interviewed mid-February. 3rd time applicant.

For those of you who haven't heard back...this is what the e-mail said.

"Our Admissions Committee recently filled the remaining places for the 2012 entering class. Although you were not selected for one of these positions, your name has been placed on the Alternate List and you will be among those individuals given further consideration for a position when additional places become available."

I'm not sure if that means that they have already accepted everyone they are going to accept or not. fingers crossed for you guys! And for those like me who will be waiting for the next few months to hear our news!
 
If you didn't get ranked on the status page, you're rejected.
got the email this morning.
 
I'm still "Remain Under Consideration for Interview." Have been for 5 months. There aren't even any interview spots left.

What happened to UAB? Seems like they've been lagging with timely updates this season.

Well if UAB does silent rejections, then we might not even get an updated status of "rejected." I have already taken it as such... time to move on.

Yeah I have been writing this off as a rejection for about a month now.

Coincidentally, I literally just received a rejection email from UAB 2 minutes ago. I imagine a lot of other people did as well.

:laugh: Me too! Guess that means they don't do silent rejections.
