Thank you so much! I will definitely be in touch 🙂

/Missed phone call and voice-mail from 407 area code during class
//Got really excited
///Trolled by my own mother, asking about holiday flight preferences returning to Orlando from undergrad
///Continued, deflated, on to morning Spanish class. This was more sad than those ASPCA commercials.

Complete early september, and still nothing :X
Hopefully we hear some good news soon!

Does anyone know if rejection letters go out right away once they decide or do they wait until the end of the year? Thanks

Hey all, REL called me last Monday to say I was accepted and that I'd get a packet in the mail. I haven't yet received it and, unfortunately, I have not been getting all my mail (as I found out yesterday when 2 separate people told me they sent me something and I haven't received it) so I'm a bit nervous- don't want to miss the "return by" date. Has anyone who was called a week ago gotten the packet? Thanks!

REL called me on the same day and I have not gotten the package either... I think he said it should be here this week.

Called? Acceptanced? Me?? Are....you....sure???? Oh ok, yes I did. I also mentioned that letters would go out "early next week, probably Monday or Tuesday..." (that translates to today or tomorrow)....I think that I can meet that deadline!!!

PS: All accepted applicants should also have received an email this morning to let you know letters will go out soon.

Cheers!!!

Congrats!! do you mind posting stats? I hope to be joining you!! 😀

Rel is by far the coolest admin director I met. He seemed to sincerely want what is best for the student. He told us to give him a call if we had any questions, regardless of the school. UCF has a bright future and definitely has the community and financial backing to do great things.

REL,

I sent an update with information about a new research experience that I'm participating in this year, as well as reiterating my interest in UCF. Should I assume that the update was received even though I never got a confirmation e-mail? I'd hate to :spam: the office with already received e-mails, but I am prepared to...(maniacal laugh).

For those of you who are OOS interviewees, I think you will be surprised at exactly how big Orlando is.

I'll be here for the weekend, and I'll post any cool/interesting places that I find! Or if you're an Orlando native, let me know what I should check out!

City Walk is pretty cool, and there are tons of good places to eat on that side of town. You will have to wade through droves of tourists though 🙂. There are plenty of fun things to do there not involving theme parks. Orlando is a great city. You can PM me if you'd like.

It is funny that people are always surprised by how large Orlando is. It's not that downtown is huge, but the suburbs surrounding are very spread-out. Metro area population is >2 million.

Thanks for the tips! I spent the day over in Cocoa/Cocoa Beach and I loved it 🙂

Definitely recommend driving over if you guys can, it's not a bad little trip at all!

any other accepted Floridians still waiting on the acceptance package?

Does anyone know how long its currently taking to go from complete to EFI? Are they reviewing applications on certain days or continously throughout the week? Thanks!

I just went from Complete to EFI in about 12-13 days. REL said that they were expecting between 800-1000 EFI applicants and were going to interview ~375... 37.5%!

Hey guys, I need some advice for the UCF secondary application. I answered yes to the questions asking about if I was required to work, if I experienced any hardships, and about grades below a B-. Now I'm supposed to write a little summary explaining my answer for each of them. My problem is that I pretty much have one senario/story that explains them all. If I try to piece the story out to answer each prompt seperately, the story doesn't really flow, but if I try to make it flow I end up having to be redundant for all three prompts. I was thinking about just answering the first two prompts with something along these lines, "Since the explanation for this is deeply interrelated to with two other prompts, please see the prompt regarding grades below a B- for the most complete explanation to this prompt." What do you think? Bad idea? Good idea? Thanks for all of your help 🙂

Thanks! I should expect another week or so then. Good luck!

I did something like that, but for other sections.

Interview Invite! I'm really impressed with how quickly the admissions office processes everything here.

Anyone have the #applied, # interviewed # accepted # matriculated data?

Also how big is the class size this year?

Been sitting at EFI for months now....hoping for that phone call sometime soon!👍
