I did call yesterday and the woman said that they are still extending interview invites. There is still hope (!), albeit minimal.

I submitted my secondary 7/28 (sooo long ago!) and last week I received an interview invite. So there is hope, even if you've been on hold for what seems forever like me!

Awesome! Congrats! I am OOS, but still crossing my fingers for an II! Submitted in late September, then put on hold 10/27. Maybe there is some hope!?

UMSOM is Awesome! Dr. Foxwell was amazing.I have a pretty unorthodox profile which has made it really hard for me to get my application noticed. I knew Maryland was good but you have to visit the school to see how good they really are...

The students seemed really happy, the infrastructure is incredible, tonnes of research opportunities, block curriculum sounds great and the international opportunities seem to be wonderful.

I'll definitely go here if I get in.... 🙂

I called and asked that question to the financial aid office and they said that they've started to evaluate students for different programs (i.e. law, nursing etc..). They way they do it is they evaluate the programs that start sooner first and send those out. I THINK they gave me an estimated time frame of aprilish for the med school, but I can't rememeber. You might be better off calling fin aid to find out for sure. I'm currently trying to get in state consideration, but I might not be able to get it for first year so that means more loans for me =(..

The school is great. I talked to one of the course directors for a first year block and was impressed by what is going to happen in terms of technology for 1st year instruction. It may be implemented for the class of 2016 but definitely 2017,

I know first hand that this is a great institution.

I heard the same thing. They accept almost 300 people for a class of about 170. I am not sure if its the same this year... Good luck though. Hope it works out for you.

Hey all, the interviewing season is done, right? I was placed on hold pre-interview and haven't heard anything since then, so I am assuming that I will be rejected.

I'm a current first year and have a room available any time after May 15th. I live in Fell's Point which is about 2 miles from campus. It's a 2-bedroom place and you'd have your own bathroom, there is a washer/dryer/dishwasher/roof deck, and is fully furnished (except for your bedroom). Rent is $925 including heat, hot water, electricity, cable/internet. Some street parking/meters nearby. I drive to/from school every day, so carpooling is an option, too. I'd prefer a female, but mostly just need someone clean, quiet, and respectful.

My guess is that they are making the rest of the decisions together, but I would caution reading too much into it.

It looks like people on the wait list receive notification about top/bottom placement around 5/8. I can't imagine anyone would be pulled off before 5/15.

Yup, looks like I won't be going to Maryland, although after how bad one of my interviews was I shouldn't be surprised -- the dude talked about himself for 35 minutes and didn't really ask me any questions.
