Sent in my secondary on Tuesday (I think at least...) and woke up to an invite this morning! (Thursday). I must say that an interview invite in the morning is a great way to start the day!

You'll be roaming the halls in a month, but interviewees don't get there till Sept.

WOW congrats to everyone who already got interview invites? Are your files 100% complete? I am almost done but I think my school's committee letter is going to take some time and there is nothing i could do about that.

And it looks like Pitt has such a fast turn around for interviews, do they just interview a large % of applicants? I am sure you all have fantastic scores/ECs but the admissions office must not have read through them that extensively if the turn around time is 2 days.

I'm sure you think you know everything, but interviews actually start in mid- to late-August.

Seconded. I got my interview invite this weekend of last year and interviewed on the first day of interviews (last day of August). They do move fast.

Interview invite this morning...Holy s&^% they're fast..

Yeah, my letters are already assigned to Pitt and they received them..

Anyone know you're chances of acceptance with a Pitt interview?...do they interview a lot of ppl but only accept a small percentage?

They sent an email saying that I was invited for an interview and to go onto the supplementary application site and schedule the date of the interview.

Holy crap, what schools aren't you applying to?!? Also I'm amazed by how many secondaries you've been able to fill out so far. You must be a robot.

got an invite this morning.
I'm very surprised, it's nice to have validation that I'm doing something right so early, especially from my highest reach school. 🙂
 
what's up guys! i was also invited for an interview, repping chi-city. i submitted the pitt secondary on july 1. what a turnaround! it's a great email to wake up to! hope to see you all there 🙂

any PSTP applicant get an II yet? i was "complete" late june.

FYI, I was complete July 4 and am an international student. (I think this is one of the first years Pitt is open to internationals.)
 
I got my interview invite this past Friday! So excited for my first invite!

right. u can go ahead and submit now. But the admission is not rolling so i wouldn't rush it.
 
Anyone has scheduled the Aug 23rd interview? I'm an OOS applicant and planning to explore the city/campus/foods on the 22nd. PM me if you are interested.🙂
 
i didnt see a slot for the 23th when i signed up a few hours ago. totally would have chose that one
 
this may be a dumb question.....but given that some people have been invited after only 2 days.....are they even reading LOR's before inviting for interviews?

I'm wondering because my Letter packet will be in tomorrow, but i'm sending 2 additional letters (very strong ones) later.

Given that Pitt doesn't normally invite ppl until their file is complete (with LORs and all), I would say yes they do read them. And considering they elect a very good group of kids, I would say yes, they put a lot of effort into reading the letters. It may be a quick turnaround, but the administration at Pitt is amazing!!! 😍 You shouldn't doubt their skillzzzzzzz
 
Going to finish secondary and submit by tomorrow - letters should be there by friday, and hopefully interview invite before the end of this month!!!
