Hey I interviewed same day (Feb 23) and I recall the tour guide mentioning that the admissions committee meets the week of March 8th...which is this week! 😱

Hi, does anyone know when the next batch of final decisions will be posted? I remember my group (I interviewed February 23) was told that the admissions committee was to meet on March 2. But given that this week is spring break for UVM I don't know if we will hear anything (if the admissions office takes spring break off). Any insight would be appreciated.
For anyone out there still waiting for an interview, I just called them today to ask whether they were still handing out II. The response was yes, since they are interviewing through the first week of April, but they were unsure as to how many more II they would be sending out. The woman I spoke with took down my name, and the next hour I got an invite! SO CALL! 😀 Good luck you all!
Just FYI this is not spring break for UVM COM. Spring break is the second week of April.
@arallahmenorah -- Congrats! When is your interview set for?

I am on the OOA wait list as well as of today
I didn't get an email, I just checked online on the Applicant Portal
Interviewed late February. Accepted today, but not from waitlist, just a straight acceptance.Has anyone been taken off the OOS WL? Hoping it was gonna be today.....
Oh yeah, I'm from California. So there still is some OOS action.I was on the OOS Waitlist for 3 hrs back in november and then was accepted.
No status change on the applicant portal interviewed 2/28...still have the message:
"We hope that you enjoyed your interview at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and that you were able to learn more about our school, curriculum and life in Burlington."
Does this mean we have to wait for the next review or is there still a chance we might be reviewed?
Sucks big time :/
I also interviewed 2/28. Accepted OOS this morning. I'm assuming they either didn't review your file, or they reviewed it but didn't make a decision. You might not have to wait till next month, I was told decisions from this meeting would also be posted Monday and Tuesday. No status change on the applicant portal interviewed 2/28...still have the message:

fiiiiiiiiinally rejected after swimming in the maybe-we'll-interview-you pool for 6+ months. Knew it was a long shot by this point anyway. Good luck everyone!
Finally got my closure. Officially rejected pre-interview via online status.
Omg okay so I finally decided to call the office to specifically ask when the committee was going to meet again and if they typically review the waitlist at that time. But I didn't even get to ask the second question because once I mentioned that I was on the OOS waitlist she told me that when the committee meets they only review the people who have been interviewed in the past few weeks. Basically she said that they are interviewing up until April and that's when they expect to see movement on the waitlist! Of course she also reminded me that people can remain on the waitlist until school starts....like I really wanted to be reminded of that lol.....oh well....
I've seen a few current UVM students reply to posts here, so I figured I'd ask a question and hope someone will see it. Or if you are not a current student but know something about this, feel free to chime in!
I get the impression that many students end up doing away rotations during the clinical years at UVM, and this is one of the things that makes me hesitant to commit to going to the school. (By away rotations, I mean rotations where you have to actually move elsewhere for the rotation, not just rotations where you have to drive a bit outside of Burlington every day). How does the placement for these rotations work? If you want to just stay in the Burlington area the whole time, can you? If not, do you get to rank where you would like to go? How likely are you to go where you want? Does the school help you find housing if you have an away rotation? Are you expected to pay for that extra housing even though you'll also be paying for housing in Burlington?
Any insights would be great! Thanks in advance.
Oh, and also you do get to rank where you want to be for your rotations. My limited experience (since I am still a first year) is that people choose rotations based on the experiences of other students not location. Certain sites are known for certain specialities. I will also be ranking Danbury pretty high on my list because I can live at home with my parents for these rotations. This is particularly important to me since I have two pets to consider. I believe that the housing provided at all away rotations does not allow pets or significant others/family. If you have these extenuating circumstances you need to find your own housing. If there is an M2/M3/M4 on here, please verify my comments!
I was wondering how students at UVM like that they take step 1 really early? Do you feel like you had enough time to learn everything you needed to learn and prepare for the test adequately?
I can see the benefit of having a head start on clerkships but I was wondering about any of the cons (if any).
