Complete 8/18 and still says no decision. I wonder what it all means.....

It means that they haven't made a decision as of 11:30am two working days after you were completed.

I only ask because others who were complete the same day have gotten put on hold and IIs.

interview as well!

any suggestions on places to stay? are there student hosts at drexel?

would it be acceptable to send an "in the area" email to temple, jefferson, TCMC (is scranton even close?)?

Thanks!

2.5 hours driving, 39 hours walking, 14 hours bicycling according to google maps.

EDIT: Apologies for being super snarky today :X checking my "status" comparing myself in every school-specific hasn't made for the most optimistic of mornings! SDN's selection bias makes this whole process seem even more cutthroat and stressful.

Congrats, when were you complete?

Anyone have experience with Moving Arts Bed and Respite?

Application completed on 8/18. Interview invite 8/21 by email. Interview scheduled for 9/19!

Can anyone tell me anything about Drexel's interview?

I know. Keep your chin up though. Some school somewhere is going to love you. 🙂

this is concerning...My app still says No decision, even though it was complete 8/15.
My stats are also strong for a URM (3.75/3.67 and 36S).

No, your stats are awesome for any applicant, especially the 36S. You're in the top 5%. Give yourself some credit.

You're more than welcome. This site tends to spread neuroticism at an unprecedented rate. I assure you, you'll not only be getting interviews; you'll be getting acceptances. It's early yet. Good luck! 🙂

still so secondary...amcas verified 7/05...what the freak!!

I love your avatar.

JUST got the secondary finally and sent it off... woo hoo

congrats to those who've gotten interviews already!

congrats to everyone who's gotten interviews.

when will it be mine turn?

So I got the complete email yesterday, does anyone have an idea of the turn around time btw complete email and ii? Thanks ! 😀

I got the II very quickly after the secondary. Fill it out. What could it hurt?

Interview invite, 3.4/34S, secondary submitted 8/14

Congrats! R u guys being notified thru email?

Noticed the status update last night. Got the II email this morning even though I went ahead and scheduled last night.

I was verified in mid-June and just got the secondary today. 😱

Still worth filling this sucker out for a hundred bucks? It's a little disconcerting that they've already started to send II's and yet I got this uber late. Makes me feel like I won't even get considered. 🙁

I'm wondering the same thing...

Yes it's still worth it. I was verified the day after AMCAS opened for applications and didn't receive the secondary until 8/8. I'm pretty sure 8/8 was the first day for Drexel secondaries. The II they're sending out now certainly won't fill an entire class. People have said it before, but you can't win if you don't even play the game.

Well, I'm non-trad so I'm coming in with one science prof, one research prof, my current employer letter, shadowing letter, and volunteering letter.

Most schools that have "required" two science or two science/one non-science have been fairly open about accepting my set of letters. It's usually stated somewhere in the instructions or you can contact the school via email or phone. Granted, I graduated 2009 so I have a reason for not having access to anymore meaningful faculty letters.

let us know what you find out! I'm still waiting on the secondary....

Has anyone heard back about the non-science letter? I am a non-traditional that was an undergrad a double-digit number of years ago. I only have two science prof letters, two employment letters, one volunteer coordinator letter, and an MD letter.

How easy are they to wave the non-science professor letter?

BTW- I was AMCAS complete 7/30, and just received a secondary today. If they won't take the letters that I have then I will save the $100 application fee.

I received the secondary on 8/6 and I'm pretty sure I filled it out and submitted the same day (or at the latest one or two days after receiving it), but I only got the complete email yesterday. I guess they're not necessarily going in order of submission.

I submitted a DO letter, two science letters, one employer letter and I got an ii.

I was marked complete on the status checker on 8/10 (submitted 8/8) but I think I only got the email last week.

Finally received a complete email today...submitted 8/3. 😕

I don't know what they were doing, but I got a response to my email from this school at what would have been about 11:00 pm their time (only 8:00 pacific). It said that my letters would work.

I completed the secondary and submitted it just now. :xf:

they're probably too strong. with those stats and being URM you are bound to get in somewhere else. Aren't you an undergrad at Dartmouth?

Not everyone with high stats gets interviewed everywhere they apply. Stats get your application looked at, but if your ECs/primary/secondary aren't what the school is looking for, your stats won't matter.

I like that perspective. I'm going to choose to believe that one.

yep... but I don't think they're that strong...I've seen some wizards here at SDN achieve things I know I am not capable of.

u may be right. My EC's are not that amazing...they're pretty common and ordinary, but I thought my PS was good (so does everyone )....but yeah

im still cheering for those who have gotten an interview though, we're all in this "painful" process together.

Hi guys, I was verified on 8/14 and I've received every secondary except for Drexel. Is that weird? Or are they just slow?
