dont sweat it man, i was on the receiving end of some negative comments after I got a couple of early interviews with my average-ish stats. haters gon hate.

How in god's name is this hating? I said "Props to you" for having something very unique (in a positive way) about their application. I believe they also have an interview at Tulane (correct me if I"m wrong?), among others. Did you see the stats of people posting their rejections in that thread? Something about their application has impressed several admission committees.

I have a 3.5/32 (10V, 10P, 12BS) and this is my fourth interview!! GAHHHHHHH!!!!

Agreed.. 3.5/32 is pretty solid. Nothing spectacular, but definitely not unlikely to matriculate.

Nah, his stats are not bad at all. I am just impressed by his results thus far. That is really it. There was a little too much being read into my comment.

I would change your drexel interview to a later date if you want to potentially schedule it around jefferson. I got one for jefferson on the 3rd and had my flight booked, then two weeks later (just yesterday) got an invite for drexel so I scheduled it for the 2nd and just had to change my arrival flight. I don't think jefferson will have any earlier dates available.

So I finally got the secondary invite today, and I wanted to ask a question about listing my employment experiences..

I've been working in my lab for over two years now-- it first started as volunteer, then I received credit for an independent study project, followed by 2 grants, and have remained in the lab after graduation (just for the summer) as a PRA.

Now do I list this as employment? Starting from when? When the first grant that funded my project was received? This summer?

I just do not know. 😕

First off, congrats on the grant if you helped submit it. That's a huge deal.

Now, did you receive a salary as part of that grant? Or did it all go to the lab? Employment means receiving hourly or salary pay. If you did receive pay, I would put the start date as the first date the project received funding. Otherwise, I'd leave that as an extracurricular/volunteer experience.

I did, and they didn't get back to me. Temple said they would update me if they could accomodate, but I haven't heard back. I just booked my flight so basically if I get an invite to Jefferson or Temple I'll be making two trips to PA.

I stayed at the "Accredited Bed & Breakfast" last year (though I think it had a different name). The two guys who run the place were really really nice and since I was the only one staying with them that night, they let me sit down to have dinner with them. They will take you to your interview and will be waiting for you when you are done. I had a great experience with these guys. The only drawback would be to make sure you don't have major pet allergies. They have a dog and maybe a cat or two.

Ah ok, thanks for the info. I ended up booking with the other bed and breakfast.. It's called "Moving Arts B&B" or something. Her rates are a little cheaper and I share a bathroom with only one other person instead of 2 at Accredited B&B.

For anyone else needing info, here's the run down.

Moving Arts B&B:
$75 per night.
$40 each way from hotel to airport. Free ride to and from your Interview
The lady seems very nice. Will let you split the airport fee if there are other interviewers going with you (up to 4 people can fit in her car).

$95 per night
$35 each way from hotel to airport. Free ride to and from your Interview
The guy I spoke to seemed like he couldn't be bothered to talk to me.. Said he didn't know if he had a room available and told me to call back when I was sure I wanted a room.. He didn't even offer to check for me.

What's the difference between "no decision has been made" and "complete and will be reviewed"?

It sounds like it is a hold status.

I think the second one means that you are in line to be reviewed by the committee and should know in due time whether or not you are offered an interview, or placed on hold.

The "your app is complete and under review" means just that - you are now actually going to be looked at very shortly and should (hopefully) know within due time whether or you get an II. 👍

Bestwhit is correct. Unless it says interview invite, on hold, or you get an outright rejection then you still have yet to be looked at by the committee. The people who do get put on hold will get looked at again later in the year (it is not a death sentence).

"no decision has been made" = they don't like you enough to interview you, but they do like you enough not to reject you.

Uh no? Half the people on here. Actually most people. Had the "no desicion status" because there was no desicion. And that status transformed into the you will be reviewed.

From what I've heard they will give you an explicit hold status if you are on hold.
