Where did you see confirmation in "the supplemental material section" when you sent them an update? I sent one a month ago and they never responded. So i just assumed that they don't take updates.
My status finally changed for the first time post-interview!! 13 weeks post-interview... -_-
"Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly."
I'm just glad to know they didn't lose my application.
I've had that status for almost two months now! I still don't have a decision and I interviewed October 3. 🙁
I just called the office a week after emailing mine in. They fished it out while I was on the phone and placed it in my file then. Nothing showed up in my summary.I sent an update letter a while back and it has yet to be indicated on my application summary?
Can anyone tell me where to look and if this definitely happens to everyone? Thanks.
I think there is at least one other SDNer besides us who interviewed that week and hasn't heard back. I think this week is THE week. Hoping for the 'final decision' status by end of the week!![]()
I hope so, but this long wait has put a bad taste in my mouth regarding Drexel.
Isn't there also one more status update after the one we have now before the decision update?
Hey guys.. I know everyone's talking about how long it takes after an interview to get a decision.. but I interviewed this Monday (Jan 7th) and today my status changed to ""Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly."
After this status..usually how long does it take to get to the decision status?
Has anyone gotten a positive response after sending out a Letter of Intent?
I got that status the day after my interview. It switched to under review by the committee two weeks before Xmas. Still no decision and its been 10 weeks post interview (not too long considering some people who interviewed a month before me haven't heard back!)Hey guys.. Did you get an e-mail for the change or did you just check online to find that?
Edit: Oops misread your status! Read the post below me
Also 1-2 more weeks waiting for the snail mail.
Ohh wow thats a long time... well thank you for the information 😀
One more status to go until you get the decision or final decision message. It'll read: "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University."Hey..one more question.. so after the "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly." status.. there is going to be one more status change? to what? or two more status changes?
Would you guys think that if a person from the admissions department interviewed us.. it will be a little faster? Cause I know people who get interviewed by the physicians take a little longer?
ive had the "currently under review by hte admissions committee" status for 4-5 weeks now. been waiting a total of 9 weeks
Probably because of the holidays. I'm sure you'll hear something soon-ish.
Has anyone gotten the "a decision has been reached" status and have been accepted or is it a definite waitlist?
Descision has been reached 🙁
When do they start pulling off the waitlist??
This program has NOT hit the med school library. But it does sound kind of cool.
Right now we're giving feedback on whether they should create a tablet program at school - y'know, give people iPads or some such. Any thoughts?
It's not something to be concerned about. The most important thing is to pass all your classes, HS and H are icing on the cake. The reason I say this is we may receive grades, but there is no internal ranking. That and preclinical grades are low on the priority list of residency programs when considering how to rank potential residents according to the Charting Outcomes.Awesome! How do you feel about the grading scheme btw? Thats one of the things I'm most concerned about 🙁

I think it is fine. They don't typically grade on a curve, though some courses might adjust the cut offs for honors or high satisfactory depending on how the class did. They may also adjust the minimum passing score, usually lower, never higher. But, the most they've ever lowered the minimum score is 2 points. The minimum passing score is almost always 70. Highly satisfactory is usually 88-90 and honors is usually >90. Some of the easier courses may adjust it to be 90-92 for highly satisfactory.
And, as previously mentioned, most residencies don't really care much about pre-clinical courses. Step I and comments from evaluators in year 3 are much much more important.
I know this has probably been mentioned in the thread... but post-interview statues: Does a "final" decision automatically mean acceptance? Or does that also include rejection? Also, how many people get pulled off the waitlist?

Also, has anyone bombed the interview here and still been accepted?

The message I've been getting from others who interviewed here and from my own experience (I also had 10ish minutes and was accepted) is that the faculty are hard to read during the interview. I know I was kind of shaky on how well I could have come across in just 10 minutes, but hey, they must know what they're looking for and it worked out!Theres at least two of us who have had extremely short interviews (~10 minutes) but have been accepted.
