Interview is scheduled for Sept. 19th! 🙂
Yeah, or just send an email (you'll get a quicker reply). Maybe there was a mix-up with some part of your application and it just needs to be brought to their attention.
I sent an email last Monday and they told me they were in the process of downloading letters and to check my status in the next week. But it's been a week and still no change... hmm. This is making me so nervous because Loyola is my top choice! Ahhh
Yeah I'd definitely check. I was completing within 10 days and I submitted like 8/12 ish.
Yeah something is definitely off. I don't want to annoy them, but I want to make sure I'm not screwed. I emailed them last Monday, is it too soon to email again? Ugh

For me it was like 35 lines when you pasted it into that box, but then when you look at the final pdf it was back down to 25 lines. That's why I said what I did 🙂
What internet browser did you use? When I look at the PDF, I'm still over 25 lines. It put me at 27... How strict are they about this whole thing? I mean my essays are 25 lines in word, 35 in the text box, and 27 on the PDF. It's a little frustrating. I wanted to be done and submit tonight but now I feel like I have to wait and call them so I can make sure I'm doing it right.![]()
I would email them again. I submitted 8/11 and was complete as of yesterday (no email, just saw it on my status page)Right there with ya! Had letters and application in 8/2 and still have the status that they are downloading my letters 😕 Getting anxious!
Anyone else have this status before getting an II:
Your file has been reviewed by the Committee on Admissions. The review process is continuous from now until the conclusion of our interview season in mid-April. If you are granted an interview, you will be contacted by phone and/or e-mail.
Or am I on hold?
me too. i can't tell which status update is better. the pending further review or that your application has been reviewed.Mine still says, "Your file is complete and pending further review by our Committee on Admissions. If you are granted an interview you will be contacted by phone and/or email. Our interview season is September thru April and your file can be reviewed several times during this time."
I think pending further review message is better because it means that the adcom hasn't looked at your application and you may have a chance of an interview pretty soon while the latter message means that you're on hold and they may re-review you later.me too. i can't tell which status update is better. the pending further review or that your application has been reviewed.

mine says: We have received all required information and your file is under review with the committee on admissions.
i would assume that when they look at your application, they are looking at the PDF document, be it a hard copy or electronically. If it's 25 in word, they will never know that. I would suggest shooting for 25 lines on the PDF if you can.
I personally doubt it would make a HUGE difference, especially since the 25 line limit is a little odd, but you never knowMy SO submitted already. He missed the click here to review button. His essays are now stuck at 27 lines each (on the PDF). Is that going to hurt his app?

Would anyone with the

mind calling admissions and asking them what the difference is between this status and the other one?
Not to be mean, but why can't you call?
I did. They looked up my aamc ID and saw that I had the other status and said they wouldn't discuss this one since I don't have it. No idea why. That's why I hope someone with that status will call.
I have that 'has been reviewed' status and just called. The guy said that it's a hold category...I tried to double check by asking 'even though it doesn't say pending further review?' and he said it was still a hold if that helps anyone?
thanks so much for the info..really helpful!!!This is pretty interesting, and I hadn't even though about it until I read the posts about the various statuses. My status says: "Your file is complete and pending further review by our Committee on Admissions. If you are granted an interview you will be contacted by phone and/or email. Our interview season is September thru April and your file can be reviewed several times during this time."
I called the admissions office to see if they could add a little clarification to what this means, and the woman told me that my application has already been reviewed once and is now "set aside" to be re-reviewed later in the cycle. She wasn't very precise on when the second review happens, but she did mention it might not be considered again until later this winter/spring. As far as the "has been reviewed" statuses... I'm not exactly sure what that means. From browsing through last year's thread it looks as though it means that once the "has been reviewed" status appears, you are no longer under consideration for an interview invite from the committee. Obviously, SDN is a small sample size of the applicant pool, and that is just a bit of speculation. I thought those that have the same status as me would appreciate knowing what's going on with their application, though. Good luck through the rest of the cycle!
Also - the woman I spoke to at admissions was extremely nice and happy to help out, so if you have questions with your application that might be nice to know.
Anyone else complete the beginning of August and not heard back yet? My file has said: "We have received all required information and your file is under review with the Committee on Admissions" since the second week of August. This doesn't really sound like a hold, but that's a long time to be reviewing an app in my eyes.
+1, over a monthMine has said this for a month.

Oops - correcting. Checked just now (hadn't in a week), and it looks like I'm on hold.

Apartment listings? Any complexes with preferences for Loyola students? Anything? There aren't any dorms, if that's what you mean. Most students live in the nearby towns of Berwyn and Oak Park.

Yeah, I'm concerned about affordable housing. When comparing Loyola to other schools, it's a major point.Getting a little ahead of ourselves aren't we 🙂 why are you so concerned about housing? Or are you just wondering if you will be able to find cheap housing? If you don't mind living in not the coolest or hippest areas you can definitely find affordable housing
