Thank you! No. I was tempted to, but my advisor called QU on my behalf to ask if it would be wise to send anything, and they apparently told him they do not welcome letters/updates. Wish I could be more helpful, but it looks like the only thing to do is wait.

Just out of curiosity (because I wouldn't have enough cajones to ask my advisor to call lol) who did he/she call? Wondering because during the open house they did say they weren't welcoming letters (in so many words) and when talking to someone, it seemed phone calls weren't welcomed either.

My Undergrad GPA was very low, sub-3.0 for three years and not much better senior year, but Postbac Undergrad and Graduate GPA are 4 and 3.97 respectively. MCAT 33. I worked for a couple years in education before going back to school for a postbac certificate that extended into masters degree, other than that ECs are probably pretty typical - some volunteer, some research, some clinical. Bomikepa got my interview date right, 3/22.

Good luck to everyone on the list. I know the not knowing is agonizing, but hang in there.

I don't actually know. My advisor had met this person at a conference of some sort and I suspect he may have just asked for advice in the hypothetical sense.

When I think back to the waitlist decision, the email said you have two days to respond. Is that still the same? Did they include financial aid?

I got that email as well that said two days, but my acceptance offer said two weeks. I wasn't taking any chances though and responded right away. No financial aid info so far though.

Did they give you any other info as far as a rank or something? Or just the acceptance? I'm DYING for one over here!!!

Since interview invites were over, I haven't been obsessively checking e-mail. Looks like it's about to start again.
 
Has anyone else been accepted off the waitlist? Also, did you get the email in the morning? Just to help us all control our anxiety better, haha...

Thanks Guys (gals) lol...I'm hoping for an acceptance...keeping my fingers tightly crossed over here. I want to be proactive but there's nothing I can really do right now. LOIs don't seem to be welcomed, so I'll just sit and wait!:bang:

Haha. I am pretty sure that knowing what time of day the email is coming is not going to help with the anxiety at all! But since you asked, it was at 12:18 pm (West Coast time).

I'm in your same shoes. I want that acceptance badly. Any QU adcoms are welcome to alleviate our stress.

Maybe they met again today, and tomorrow they will give out more acceptances ...
 
I'm probably withdrawing by the 15th, I would expect the same of a lot of others so those on the wait list keep your heads up!

Maybe.. I remember them saying during my interview that they were possibly adding a weekend day (Sundays possibly) for reviewing applications ... I believe Wednesday used to be the original adcom meeting day. Maybe it's wed and Sundays now... I have no idea really. Just speculating. I just remember interview invites we're given out on Thursdays .

Oh really?? Did someone say that? They were meeting on Wednesdays but that was more during interview season, because towards the end, I think it was random because I got my waitlist email on a Monday.
 
Me too! Maybe today or tomorrow there will be some movement. Hopefully!

I'm pretty sure biolectrikx was on the wait list previously (I'm almost positive at some point we were back and forth about being optimistic). Not sure about interview date though.

biolectrikx, mind sharing stats/basic ECs? I don't know how much these things matter any more though for the wait list

Yeah you're right, they got in off the wait list ... Hopefully there are more open spots to fill!
