Who do we call to check our status post interview? The admissions number online seems like it's never picked up.

Dr. Sousa told my group (late September) that we could call for updates after Oct 31. Having trouble reaching them though.

Maybe they threw all their phones out the window with all of the neurotic premeds asking them questions every 2 minutes :laugh:
 
Anyone been waitlisted or rejected yet post-interview? I bombed my interview in late sept.

What makes you think you bombed it?

I keep trying to think about how I did but it's kinda hard for me to gauge since those two hours were all a blur -_-
 
It was my worst interview thus far without a doubt. I stumbled through 1/3 to 1/2 of the stations. I just want to get my rejection over with so I can move on and not look back.
 
Got an interview invite last week. I went online to schedule an interview date. It says no dates are available. I tried to call the admission office, no one picked up.

Anyone else have trouble scheduling the interview?
 
I feel I am in the silent rejection pile. Complete 8/7... three months, no status changes 🙁 🙁 🙁 instate too!

Ditto, but mine is in September. 🙁 At least we aren't rejected 🙂 I hope 🙂

I believe (but I'm not 100% sure) that they only schedule interviews 2 weeks in advance of the interview date, so if you keep checking back one should pop up eventually.

Officially rejected pre-secondary today. Certainly expected. One more crossed off the list though...
 
Just got an email from UCD. Wait-listed. The email also states that that no offers of acceptance will be made before May 15th. MAY! The wait will be the death of me! 😱
 
Just got the waitlist email now. Interviewed on the last date in September. I guess I'll be back here in about 6 months. Good luck everyone.

Waitlisted today. (kinda sucks especially since it's my alma mater) Owell. At least I've still got other options. Good luck to everyone else.
 
Really need some advice here. Submitted secondary on 10/1. It's 11/5 and my LOR is still marked incomplete. WTH is going on?!? I've submitted my LORs back in June and every single school received my LORs. What's up with UC Davis and what should I do?

Interviewed in October, waitlisted. While this is kind of a bummer, here's a good way of thinking about it:

According to US news, 31% of interviewees eventually get accepted at Davis. (188/604)
& according to Davis' email, around 50% can get off the waitlist.

Soooo technically our chances are better than they were before the waitlist news, just have to wait longer for the decision 🙂 Keep positive, people! & best of luck throughout the cycle

Hmm interviewed in October as well, nothing from them though..kinda worried.

Don't be worried. It's faster to send automated wait list emails than to make acceptance calls

Sorry to hear that, but it's easy to overanalyze interview day post-interview (I certainly did!), but I was accepted anyway! Chin up!

That's weird...Wikipedia says Davis offered 460 interviews last year with MSAR as the source. Wikipedia never lies.

haha what I posted also wasn't last year's data. Would have used MSAR, but they don't give stats on accepted, just matriculated
 
got email saying i am waitlisted today! just glad it wasn't a rejection email. was interviewed on 9/14.

a few of my friends last year were also waitlisted, but then they hear back from davis before may 15. so don't worry too much. 🙂

Do you remember around what time they started hearing back?

I emailed the adcom yesterday, and they told me that Davis won't rank the waitlist until April/May, and they won't tell us what our rank is even then. Also they don't accept updates of any kind. It just feels bad, man, just sitting here and not being able to do anything for half a year.
 
Question, I have an interview soon and just saw that if we were interested in the tour of the student clinics needed a five day notice to sign up. I have missed this cutoff- should I see if they have spots open still? Or do I look oblivious for not noticing the deadline? Feeling a little sheepish for missing this :'(

I think I may have missed the clinics sign-up cutoff too, if only because I received their interview instructions info a bit late. It didn't hurt me - I signed up "late" for the student clinics tour, received my tour without any problems, and the late sign-up wasn't discounted against me (was accepted early Oct!).
 
I got placed on the interview waitlist....

Does anybody know what the chances of actually getting an interview are?
 
do people think its okay if I am smiling in my picture? It says neutral expression, but this is the picture I have sent to every other school (pretty professional looking) and I really don't want to take another one.
