Dumb question potentially, but if I 'accept the offer' it doesn't mean I'm locked in, does it? I can still decide between other schools? I know the norm is to pay a deposit, but the language around the acceptance on Davis' site is weird/seems more permanent.
 
I sure would like an acceptance from Davis. I mean, and an interview invite. Or you know, a secondary. Any will do, really.
 
I wonder how many total acceptances they have given out. Has anyone who interviewed on 8/31 heard anything?

Definitely a top 3 choice for me, and possibly #1 because I can't imagine a school with better clinical opportunities. Wish I could hear something soon, since I have 2 interviews in the next 3 weeks that I have not booked flights for...:xf:

Congrats to everyone who have been accepted... I'm definitely jealous!
 
I called today and they said, "No decision on your application has been made. When there has been a decision, you will be updated via the status update page and email." Am I being neurotic and thinking that means it will be a waitlist or no since they didn't give the option of a phone call? 😕

I'm in the same situation as you! Well, I didn't interview 8/31, but I'm also hoping to cut some upcoming interview(s). Davis, please take us!!! It's good to finally hear from people who didn't get that amazing call haha. Welp, here's to crying and hoping guys 🙂 And congrats to those who got accepted !

When did you interview? I feel that is where I stand as well, I'm technically at 46 days post-interview, which is slightly past the 30-45 days decision 'timeline' that their website states... I guess I'll keep holding my breath:idea:

I'm pretty sure you're good for now. I heard of other people in the past getting the same reply from an adcom, and they got accepted after. I feel yaa though.. I've been neurotic for the past two days. My phone couldn't seem more dead hahah

Misery sure loves company! I was hoping to celebrate halloween this year... In the meantime, I'm trying to get myself to fall in love with the other schools I will interview at. Every school has at least something to love 🙂
 
I submitted my secondary on 10/1. It's 10/16 now and my LOR still hasn't been received according to the site. Should I be worried?
 
Anybody know if you click "Accept Offer" do we have to pay a deposit? How much is the deposit? I don't see anything about it anywhere. Thanks!

They do their letters of rec manually. It took me two weeks for mine to show up on the status page. If it doesn't show up in a month, then I would call or email.

I accepted the offer, assuming I can still make decisions until May, and thought a payment button would pop up, but nothing did! I called to ask about it, but just got voicemail. I'll let you all know what the response is!

I was worried about that too, but this article seems to clear it up. You ARE accepting for this school, but you can hold as many acceptances as you like until April/May 15th (depending on school start dates).
 
Vudar, I just called them and got told the same thing. I'm thinking we're in the same boat. Maybe waitlist?
 
So its free to accept an offer? The deposit comes at a later stage? So confusing. Thanks!
 
Could they really have called all 200 accepted applicants in one day? This is disheartening....

Just got a call back from Joanna Garcia and she confirmed that Davis does NOT have a deposit fee. Her words were, "So you can save yourself a bit of money!" Lol.

its 105 actually, and I doubt it... considering like 10-15 SND ppl were called, maybe 20-30 were called? out of 50-60 they plan on accepting this early? who knows.. every call i get skips a heart beat haha

Idk at my interview they said we may not hear until mid Nov, so I'm not sweatin it too bad yet.

Even though I would looooove that call 🙂 because my interview experience at Davis made me fall in love with the school even more!!

...Where are you guys getting these number limits from?

105 total seats, approx 200 acceptances (including waitlist). I assumed they would accept around 40% of the total initial selection size of a little more than the final class size which I assumed would end up being around 50 spots since they had interviewed a little less than half of the total applicants. (LOTS of assumptions :laugh: ) When did you interview LALFL?
 
Do you think it is better to be on interview waitlist or not hear anything at all from them?

So if I haven't heard back by now and interviewed over 8 weeks ago, can I assume that I've been silently rejected? 🙁
 
No one on here will know the answer to that question, dude. I know the wait sucks, but that's really what the application cycle is all about... hurry up and wait.

Bummer. Do they even accept updates via email pre-interview? I asked them a while back and did not get a reply 🙁
 
Does anyone know about what % gets off the waitlist for interview?

Wow they must have really really liked you, congrats!
I interviewed at Davis recently too, can't wait to hear back from them. (hopefully with good news)
 
Been complete since early Aug, and no II... no love from my IS school... =/
 
How long after the secondary was complete did the interviewees get their interview invites?
 
Interviewed in August and was told to expect an answer one way or another with a yes or no or waitlist ON 10/15. 10/24, I call and they are unreachable. Fail.

If I have to wait longer than 45 days I might explode.

I had to call like 4 times a couple days after the 15th to get a hold of anyone and they said your app is still under consideration and you should receive an email and status update when a decision is made. I still have heard nothing either to this day. 😕
